Hi Purple, sorry you're feeling down. I think we all feel like we're going one step forward and two steps back at times with debt repayment. *hugs*

I know we always seem to have something breaking or needing replaced whenever I think we're getting anywhere with the debt. Now we're trying to save for a wedding as well as pay off the debt and it looks like we're going to need a couple of windows re-positioned /replaced because of our building moving down and causing them to leak. Looks doubtful that the buildings insurance will cover it as it's due to timbers drying out or something.

However, we will get there in the end! It's frustrating that it takes so long but you'll do it - keep on keeping on Purple. :T

• Thanks Sashybo :)

Well I was feeling very sorry for myself this morning wasn't I? fat lot of good that's going to do me!

I'm still not a happy bunny but there's not much I can do about it is there?

So I need to reassess things, big deal, better than wallowing.

So I have had a spendy day today, got a few things we needed and a few we didn't...on the money side of things:

£1 in 20ps added to the pot
19p added to the demi-john

I still can't decide what to do with the change that I've been saving so I think I will just let it build up for the moment.

I'd better go and sort the kids out some dinner and then sort out the food shopping for the month and sort the washing out.

Hi Purple
I had to subscribe as I love your title. Bear hunt is one of my favourites as well as any of the kids I come into contact with by the time I've finished. (I work with rugrats too). Good luck on finding a job. I'll keep popping in.

• Hi Shelski, thanks for popping in. I tend to bore people and I constantly fall off the wagon :) hence diary number three or is it four? I never had this many diaries when I was a kid!

Thanks for subscribing. x
• Morning, it's Friday at last and a brand new day.

Despite my 'bad' day yesterday, I have woken up with renewed enthusiasm albeit I'm tired today but determined.

Food/alcohol order has been placed, £252, I still need to get meat but I'm hoping to stick to a budget this time.

I'm going to have another attempt at reducing my alcohol intake, I'm going to start slowly and build on it from there. Weekends are a totally different matter but during the week, I'm going to start by not having a drink before the kids are in bed and will not drink past 10pm.

Next week is Half Term :) Mum is visiting Monday and going home Tuesday, we are planning to make cakes with the kids on the Monday, I'm taking the kids to the cinema to watch The Muppets and I'm going to be doing my maths coursework the rest of the week.

I am determined to crack the NSD's and I think I need to set myself a spending budget for the month and stick to it, I was thinking £60-£80 a month and see if I can reduce it from there.

I cannot and will not allow myself to be ruled by the credit card debt, once I've cracked that one I can work on reducing the overdraft.

So on to today, it looks like this:
Wash up
Sort dinner

I'm supposed to be out with my old colleagues tonight but I don't fancy skating to the pub and freezing along the way...there will be another.

Off to get motivated and defrost the car.

Have a good day :) x
• Morning diary,

Well DH hasn't been paid today  not impressed, granted it is the first time that this has happened so I guess I have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The food/alcohol shopping is being delivered today too, so we are going to be well over the overdraft as it's too late for me to cancel it.

My mum has been to visit and went home yesterday :) She has offered to help financially if we need it...bless her! I do love my mum! She has taken measurements for the front window and the patio doors and is going to get us some curtains. The ones that are up have been there since we moved in 10 years ago :o and they are not lined and they are pink and we have a blue suite and cream walls :rotfl:

Talking of shopping, I have £19 to add on to the total as I've got a few bits from Makro that we needed.

I'm up to 4 NSD's but I think I have actually got 5 but can't remember so am sticking with 4, today will be one as I'm not going out...I don't include the shopping as it is part of the budget.

I need to sort out the menu list for the month and start on my alcohol reduction.

On a plus side...I have set up a FB page to sell some of the bits I have hanging about. Total made so far £12, I'm planning to use this money to take it off the credit card. Anything that doesn't get sold will get car booted and that too will come off the credit card.

We have such a lot of stuff that I need a good declutter and someone will buy my tat I guess :) so win all round.

Right on to today:
Need to change our bed - I did the kids yesterday
Wash up
Sort dinner
Sort washing out
Meal plan

That should keep me busy today.

Right I'd better get motivated, will update later. x
• Morning diary,

DH got paid eventually yesterday, it arrived at lunchtime.

Yesterday wasn't a NSD as I treated the kids to McD's and they got some toys from the charity shops and DH needed some NicAssist gum.

On the plus side, another £2 coin has been put in the pot so that's building up nicely.

I listed more bits on FB and have possibly sold another thing, so that will be another £2 to add to the total.

Have updated the finances (see sig) and have paid £160 off the credit card this month with the view to paying more off once the money starts coming in.

I didn't do much yesterday as I ended up with a mega migraine, so was in bed early yesterday, I feel much better today and need to catch up with the housework.

DS has the doctors this morning too.

On the grocery side of things, I did buy some more bits yesterday but can't remember how much I spent so at a guess the grocery bill so far is £285.00.

Today will be a NSD, so fairly confident that I will make my target this month.

Right I need to get motivated and get something done, one hour to go and we have to go to the doctors.

Have a good day everyone x
• A quick update. I sold something else on FB this morning only £2 but it helps, puts me up to £14 now, the lady is coming tomorrow night to pick it up as she's got a lot to pick up so is doing a round trip.

Been to Doctor's with DS and was sent to the chemist for stuff, although she didn't give me a prescription for him so £6.49 spent there.

Have reupdated the finances as I missed something off, not looking good so need to reign in the spending this month.

On the plus side...I just spoke to my manager and she wants me in work at 10am on Monday rather than 11am as first agreed so 1hr and a half overtime there :) which I will see in next months pay.

Need to fill my car up but am holding off for a bit see if I can eek it out, the fuel light is on but the needle isn't quite on the last notch yet and as long as I don't need to go out it might last until Monday (if I'm extremely lucky!)

Right off to do more and feed the kids x
• Good news about the overtime.

Sorry you had to pay out at the chemist, My Dr is really good that if he is writing out a perscription for the kids he always asks if i want some kids paracetamol as well and adds that on.
• Good morning everyone...Saturday already :)

One good thing about today is that it is one step closer to my two going back to school on Monday :) Don't get me wrong I love them to bits but I find that it is hard to not have any NSD's when they are off school lol.

Any how, I have sold quite a few bits with some more being collected today :) It has bumped up my £2 coin savings lol. DH and I decided that anything that was, sold the money would be put aside towards our holiday during the Easter Hols; so that including what we have already saved put us up to about £45 (roughly).

I didn't realise we had so much stuff hanging about and selling them through FB means that I'm not paying out Ebay fees, so very happy.

I won't be at my volunteer school job next week, Monday I have been asked to go in to work (paid one) at 10am so I will get an hour and half over time, and the rest of the week I need to do maths and get some of that sent over to my tutor.

The NSD's haven't been successful this week and neither has the meal plan so both are my priority for the next week. My aim NSD wise is to achieve at least 4 next week, this should put me back on track.

I need to get the house sorted too, I've been lacking the energy and the inclination to do anything with it. I have been giving this a lot of thought and I think my lack of motivation is because I know that there is a LOT to be done so surely if I do a bit at a time this will help?

Right, I'd better get motivated and get dressed and start the washing up...I need to sort the bits out that are being collected too.

Have a good day everyone x
