  • :j Hi Weller
Glad you had time out with your Dad and a chance to talk.... you both needed it.
Good luck with the e-baying...(maybe if you go for a carboot sale your Dad could join in & help ..he might even find a few things he'd like to sell as well!).

7 hammers lol - are there 7 different ways of hitting things with them? (that's a genuine question by the way - I have NO idea about diy at all!).

I'm so glad Sunday went okay and you managed to sort out the mortgage. I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the job interview.

It does sound like your Mum needs to talk to someone, but your main priority at the moment is keeping yourself and your family healthy in body and in mind. I'm sorry she had a difficult childhood, and I'm glad you understand some of the reasons for her behaviour, as it might help you to deal with it more easily, but please don't let her treat you badly just because 'she's got issues'. Just let it spur you on to beat your own demons and break the cycle.

  • Amen to all the previous posters have said. Glad to hear everything's a little brighter for you and you've enjoyed the Easter break.

I know how angry you've been about your mum - deservedly so, but the more you learn about her, the more you've got to feel sorry for such a sad individual. BUT that in no way means you've got to put up with her treatment. She needs to see (even at her age) that bad behaviour has its consequences. I feel so sorry for you dad too. Glad you're going to be able to keep communication going with him.

Good luck Andy with the job interview!

glad it went as well as can be expected. I hope that all this stress won't make your dad ill. Please tell him to take care of himself.
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Andy got the job -can't honesltly believe it. They just phoned 10 mins ago and he's getting £1.05 per hour more than he was on at his other job and loads of overtime available - weekly pay, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, bonus every month of apporx £100 depending on how much steel they get out. Wheeeeeeeeey over the moon and Andy is too, can't believe his luck in getting first job he went for but he says he knew it wouldn't be hard getting work just didn't expect to get one so soon - thought he'd have to go temping. Absolutly chuffed to bits and he starts tomorrow wheeeeeeeeeeeeey so will get a wage next Friday. Maybe this is a blessing xxxx
  • Well done to both of you.:T

    Well done Andy !!!!!

Have never posted on your thread before, but just had to comment now.

You and your family have been through so much that it is great to hear something positive happening to you.

It is indeed a blessing bestowed on someone who truly deserves a leg up.

Onwards and upwards now, there will be no stopping you.

ps So glad to hear that Sunday went well with your dad, was checking your thread all day.

Wishing you all the best of everything for the future.
