Well, I've just read this entire thread and I have to say it is the most incredible thread I've read on here. Not only because of the wonderful support and kindness of fellow MSErs but because you have shown dignity, courage and restraint under tremendously difficult circumstances Lisa.

There is no doubt in anyone's mind that you are doing a fab job as a mother and that is to be applauded especially as your first role model is a sad excuse for a mother.

I wish you the best of luck, you and your family deserve it. Keep posting and talking and getting stronger each day. We are here for you.

I think the best revenge for all the bad things is to live well, your mum can't be a happy person she doesn't do things that make her family want to be with her. you on the other hand have everything you want , a lovely family and people who support and love you despite all her attempts to change that. So well done you !!!!

Hi all - a peaceful day yesterday as still felt very sick - just unplugged the phone and deleted e-mails so feel like I am being strong only to wake up this morning and find a letter pushed though door (Mum must have posted it on her way to work), this is what its said:-

You are ****ing evil and turning the one thing that matters to me against me. How can you be so nasty when you know how much he loves me?
You will rot in hell for this though I am suprised with your weight you are not dead already. Its said that a child should never die before a parent but with regarding you I think it will. You cannot stop Sam from seeing me, I will take it further if need be. You are being brainwashed by your so called husband and you should never have married him, like I told you but you didn't listen as usual. Mum

P.S Can Samuel please sleep tonight

I am really upset and angry about this - more angry than upset, in fact I just laughed when I first read it but its sinking in now and I'm determined to let it all just wash over me. Her words will not destroy me, her actions will not destroy me, she will not destroy me. Its laughable really that she feels that sending this is going to make a difference - of course Mum, I am going to leave Andy and die and then you can have Sam all to yourself - stupid woman!!! And what about my daughter, does she not love her too or is she too young for my Mum to get her claws into?

And the cheek to ask if he can sleep? just what goes on in that twisted little brain of hers.

Sorry, just having a chuckle. We haven't even said anything to Sam and when we do I wont tell him just what she is like because I dont want to mix his little head up anymore.

Anyway, good morning to you all and hope you all have lots of snow - we have none Thanks you for your continued support and kindness. Housework today and then shopping and all I want to do is curl up in bed as its very cold but afraid my darling daughter won't let me do that. kids eh?

If anything could tell you, this really shows just how ill your mum is. She obviously can't see any problem, with saying the most nasty things to you, and THEN asking YOU for a favour (Sam sleeping over). I am not saying that you should accept what she is saying, only that she is very ill to have written this.

I think you are doing a fab job. Stay calm throughout. But I think you must be prepared for an escalation of her nastiness as she gets more desparate.
