Your mother is unbelievable. Slings some insults then asks if your son can stay the night. Goodness only knows what she would say to him while he was there. She's really got some problems. Well done you for standing up for yourself and your family!

You have been amazing Lisa!! I can't begin to imagine what you are going through but I am so impressed with your dignity and courage. Please keep the letters she sends you, if she starts to get really vindictive you have some 'evidence' as to her vicious mind.
    hugs

    Hi Weller.

Your mum really is a nasty piece of work isn't she hun.

I know you probably want to throw away letters, delete emails etc, but please try to keep them in case any evidence is needed in the future.

She is wrong by the way. You can stop her seeing your kids. I had to seek legal advice over the same thing with my MiL. She was threatening to take us to court for access to our kids. Your circumstances are exactly like mine, no marriage break up, both parents of exactly same opinion. She would be laughed out of court.

If you have evidence of her threats, nastiness etc, all the better.

Stay strong love, you are doing brilliantly x

You are ****ing evil and turning the one thing that matters to me against me. How can you be so nasty when you know how much he loves me?
You will rot in hell for this though I am suprised with your weight you are not dead already. Its said that a child should never die before a parent but with regarding you I think it will. You cannot stop Sam from seeing me, I will take it further if need be. You are being brainwashed by your so called husband and you should never have married him, like I told you but you didn't listen as usual. Mum

P.S Can Samuel please sleep tonight

OK - confession time; I laughed. This is a cliched poison-pen letter. If I was doing a parody of one, I'd write something like this - but the P.S. is a stroke of comic genius beyond my talent. Was the letter written or did she cut out little letters from the newspaper? :rotfl:
    weller711 wrote:
And the cheek to ask if he can sleep? just what goes on in that twisted little brain of hers.

That's simple. Throughout your life she has insulted/belittled/threatened you in order that you should conform to her wishes. Even as an adult, you've sent Sam to her when she's wished, and paid her £200 per month in response to her threats. Suddenly the game has changed, and your mother is having problems adjusting to that. Old dogs, new tricks - and all of that kind of thing.

BTW Did you tell your Dad about what your mother has done?

Stay strong, you've got a loving husband and lovely kids.

Wow Lisa I think you have grown so much this week, had you recieved this letter a week ago I think you would have handled it very differently.

Your Mother is dreadful but you do need to keep the emails and letters as evidence. She is clearly very ill and may get more desperate as she see's you staying in control.

Well done for seeing this letter for what it is.
  • I'm laughing now - when I read it again it just seems so sad that she feels like she can still control me - which, of course, she can't now.

It does sound funny though, especially the PS bit - as if 'd let Sam go sleep - silly c*w.

She had written it though - not pasted the letters out of a newspaper. But it wouldn't suprise me if it continues and if it does, so be it. Let her waste her time - shes just digging a deeper hole. Can't wait till I can tell Andy at lunchtime, he'll be mad but will also just laugh at her.

I may be "bigger" but I'm also better, much better.

Haven't spoken to my Dad yet as its hard to get him alone and to be honest we're still thinking of how to tell him but we will end up telling him 'cos knowing my mum she will just twist the tables and make us out to be the bad b*ggers.

OMG!!! I cannot believe that letter. Keep it just in case she tries to stir up trouble later on, it may be evidence (in case you need any more) that she is not stable enough to see your children.

With regards to Sam, if he asks, tell him Granny isn't very well and can't see you all for a while. Quite true I suppose!

You are doing so well and I am so pleased for you, keep going and stay strong. Feel free to vent onhere whenever you need it! xx

    Lisa,

from the letter, it sounds like mum may need counselling... and your dad deserves to know what his wife is up to.

Could you show dad the letter with a view to *helping* her?

    Hugs. You are so strong.

Yep. Predictions for the future: You live in a crap house, and you have good-for-nothing friends (that she warned you about)...

And your neighbours eat their own young.
