Tea has been scoffed and the hot ginger pudd turned out well. Now I've got to get my lazy behind off the sofa and do some jobs. Then bath and internet shopping while I wait for my hair to dry. :D Meeting OH in the pub at 11pm.

    Last update for the day:
    [STRIKE]kitchen tidied again after tea.[/STRIKE]
At least make a start on getting the front room ready for decorations. started, but not got far
Finish any internet shopping - ooops
    sort and [STRIKE]start laundry [/STRIKE] - WIP
[STRIKE] strip and re-make beds [/STRIKE]

Grrh, net connection crashed out and post lost..

Short story, DS looking iffy, Santa finally finished shopping, prep for the day is behind but getting there and I'm not too frazzled yet.

    Cards & wrapping hails...

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

Oooh if there's a new year ironing challenge can I be in on it.. :D

Have been playing with my new fancy washing machine since Wednesday, yet still the washing mountain doesn't want to be conquered...lol

Have done all my present christmas shopping - now I just have the last few bits of food shopping to do. Then it's the dreaded wrapping to do..lol

Have to write my list of what needs to be done before Christmas Eve, plus all the running around I seem to have landed myself in for some reason...lol

Hope everyone is doing okay.. Hugs xxx

All I have to do now is

Clean. Everything. Except the front room, as that's looking good :)

    Get the futon delivered.

Put the old sofa out/on Freecycle or call council to book collection.

Put away mega cat food delivery tomorrow at 12.

    Wrap presents.

Yell at Minion again. She still has her room to do. And all her clean washing to put away.

Move a bathroom cabinet from downstairs to upstairs bathroom as I'm fed up with bottles everywhere.

    Oh, and buy;

    Chicken
    Pudding
    Cream Soda
    Duck eggs
    Bread
    Milk

    For Christmas Dinner/Boxing Day breakfast

    and

tickets for the pub and club for Friday and Christmas Eve.

Minion has put the tree up, added lights, tinsel, decorations, made it look rather tasteful (black tree, white lights, silver tinsel, white, irridescent, silver or red decorations) and returned the boxes to the loft for me.

Oh, and we have given Dizziee the Ninja Kitten a straw bauble of his own. He has thus far left the tree unmolested, but the little straw woven bauble will never grace a tree again.

Only other things I am waiting for are my new black jeans for the weekend to go with my new black top.

    *********

    So, with the NY sales approaching, I have a question;

Do I go for (assuming there are suitable offers)

    A steam generator iron.

A steam cleaner with iron attachment.

    A clothes steamer.

A clothes press and continue with my Bosch iron.

Say to hell with it and pay someone else to do the work.

Although, on the other hand, out of Valli's alternatives, I think it would definitely have to be a Washington. The others - pah. A Snipes would have done just fine before the taxman got involved though.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Jojo - I had a steam generator iron and it did iron well, but despite regular descaling as in the manufacturers instructions it ceased to function after about 15 months - not good value!

I'm now back on a normal Bosch iron - I've had it nearly a year and it has been much better value ( though I hate ironing sheets!).

But I do kill irons, though, - married for 24 years and 2 have caught fire whilst 12 or so more have just given up on me....

WM and TD are on, DW about to go on. The boys and I will be off to M'hall in a bit. Breakfast at McD's (not done this in years), DS2 plans to spend savings and vouchers in build-a-bear and DS1 wants to have a look around - if he ever gets out of bed. I'll look for a couple of things, but it's mainly for them.

Will be back with a proper list later. Have a lovely Sunday, everyone.

It didn't last long the clothes from the maiden last night are now in there :p

Do you want a New Year Ironing Challenge?

Everybody in a good mood at present in the Dusty house.

DS3 just left for his first ever county squash game, he is only 9 and playing in the U11 team. I'm not bothered how he plays, just that he enjoys it.

    DS2 away cycling soon

I need to shower and get to Waitrose to use my last £10 off £60 voucher.

Today is mainly about Christmas prep here. Have a good one ladies.
