Hello folks, we're in and we LOVE our new house
The place is fabulous, the move went amazingly smoothly apart from my hoover packing up half way through cleaning the old house, so I had to borrow one from a neighbour, and it all took ages but yay, we're in and we are so happy it's not true! The garden needs lots of work, dodgy paving slabs, the kitchen and bathroom need replacing, but it's all liveable with and cosy and ooooooooooh so quiet as we're now in a detached house and set back further from the road, bliss
I feel like I don't know whether I'm coming or going and have lots to do before Monday night when my parents come back to look after us for my operation, but there's plenty of time......famous last words eh?!0 -
Ooooh, exciting stuff KK! :T :T :T :T Congratulations!
At least you get to recover in your new shiney house
My poached egg secrets came entirely from hereBeen eating them ever since

I will if the flipping phone would stop ringing and I had a chance to try them!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Yes, I had to call the hospital today to give them my new address and casually mentioned that I've got a stinking cold and cough (started on Tuesday and is gruesome) and I've to get rid of it by Monday morning or cancel my op!!
So, the heating is on a lot more to try and mollycoddle me and my planned big shopping trip with DD tomorrow will probably be a chillout day instead, maybe we'll pop up to the village charity shop insteadI really don't want to miss out on having my leg sorted.
I do still have a gazillion boxes to try and unpack before Monday when my folks are back.
Anyway, enough waffling from me, time for that early night I've been promising myself all day!0 -
P.S. I used the cooker for the first time tonight to make HM pizzas, so will be up for the baked goods I promised for my virtual housewarming in no time at all!0

Hugs Pippi, hope the family stuff is happily sorted soon for you, and hope MrF has a fab trip (even if its work not pleasure!)
Woke up early and am luxuriating in the lounge paying scary final leccy bill for old house, what on earth was I doing that last couple of months, it's huge!! : ( whilst DD carries on snoozing in my bed, hope she has a really good rest as she was looking exhausted from all the excitement of this week, bless her little chops.
I think the shopping trip is cancelled, I'll get my parents to stop off at Co$tco on their way down to me next week instead, and we may do more unpacking, hook up the DVD player, play board games and just relax instead0
