KK, I'm so glad the move went well - and you're in a detached now! Fantastic - I'd love, love, love a detached house, good for you. Hope you can heal quickly from your lurgy - they're very insistent on you being healthy for any op, I'm not surprised they went on at you, sadly.

Pippi, hope the family stuff is going okay, and isn't this a work day for you? Hope you get time to catch your breath.

I'm doing okay - its all just very, very slow, and very boring. Going to a posh jumble sale in village nearby today, and thats it.

<waves to Pippi> Thought of you yesterday - bought a co-op value box of free range 'eggs of different sizes' - what's it coming to when you have to sell eggs of different sizes as a value range?! (mind you, I'm not complaining, they were much cheaper than the normal ones!)

Good luck KK, you look after yourself, and if it has to be postponed, it'll be for the best in the long run - even if it is frustrating :( Fingers crossed girl xx

Well, now you know the secret, you won't be! :):) They're really quick too, once the water is boiling that is - mind don't take 5 mins at all, so keep an eye on them! :)

WooHoo :j Thank you for sharing Cheery - we will be trying these next week - turns out i don't have the vinegar otherwise my tea would be sorted out :D

    I'm awol.

Not in a bad way. Bit family stuff going on, heads down a bit - but all OK.

Hope to catch up tomorrow - if not in the am (prewomble central) then after.

Two parcels with notes from the post office............................:) will collect tomorrow.

    Be well and happy

KK glad you're unpacking, be careful and get well x

DDFW _ we do like a cunning plan

Cheery - waves - eggs you say, so hard to get hold of more than two million these days......

    Hugs and kisses.

Mr F off in the early am. x

Pippi - just reading through and having a bit of a catch-up hope everything is ok xx

More on my cunning plan ;) when i've let things settle down for a few days i think - i've had so many changes happen this last few days - all positive mind but still changes and they need a bit of time to sink in :)

KK - take care - great to hear how happy you are in your new home and hope that pesky cold is clearing up :)

Hey KC any bargains from the posh jumble sale? Wish they still did these near me :) Mind you i went to a carboot this morning - first time in ages i've been to one as a buyer - the weather was a bit rubbish and there were only about 6 stalls. Still it was well worth the early-ish start - Got loads of new clothes all from top high-street shops that i really like but can't afford to shop at much really :T 1 pair of leggings new and with the tags on £16 on tag i paid £1.50 :D a top new with tag on £23 i paid £3 and lots of other things that were pre-owned but lovely - 2 new tops, 2 new jumpers, 1 pair of jeans all for £1 - £1.50 each. Also got my mum, niece and sister some bits too :T Very pleased with my little haul :j

Matymoo any success stories with the eggs?

Hi vl and lemontree and starnac hope you are all ok.

Sorry if i've missed anyone off :o

Egg update - May not have had quite enough water in the pan as they stuck to the bottom slightly :( But still way better than my previous attempts :)

Hya Pippi, hope you get things sorted soon at home, ((((hugs)))).

Ooh, glad the parcel got to you so quickly...again getting to Orkney in less than 24 hours, really impressed.

Funny to think of the bags going to a posh arty recycling shop..hope they find good owners.
    :D

Hope you can make good use of your bag ...now you see why I had to make something for you with the material!!! Do the gloves fit? They should keep you cozy, as they are made from sock wool, so can be chucked into the washing machine if/when they get dirty. I wear mine most of the time, though I have been lost today as I can't find them!! Not sure where else to look, wearing a older pair, though they aren't so nice (or warm).

Went to a patchwork beginners class today, had a great time (10am to 4pm), but shattered now. I have done a couple of patchwork pieces before, but felt I needed to learn more basic techniques. I had a great time and have finished making three "blocks" (12"x12"), and am half way through the fourth, I will post piccies tomorrow.

Now catching up with all my emails, as well as MSE, not been on since Thursday.

We are much better here now, healthwise, though once in a while one of us feels worse again. Looks like it was the norovirus, though I never vomitted, just felt really rotten.

KC - glad the move went well. Take care of yourself, hope the cold goes soon and you get your op done.

Maty - forgot to say that I love Rodder's new haircut, but I agree, he was really cute beforehand :)

Now need to get back to catching up on other MSE threads, as well as my oodles of emails.

Have a good Sunday, we're forecast rain, so no weeding tomorrow...oh what a shame ;). Think I'll sort out all my flower seeds..I never did get them onto my seed database at year.

    Take care everyone xx

Glad the gloves fit Pippi, got worried that they might be a bit big, as you have such delicate small hands. Are they stripey enough for you? As I finished them, I said to DS2 I was going to send them to you, he said "Oh she likes lots of stripey stuff!!" So you left quite an impression on him!!

I have decided to take a more relaxed approach to life (well, try to!). I am still not up to full speed energy-wise, so taking things easy. Does it really matter if I don't get everything done tonight, tomorrow...ever??

There are a couple of emails I have to reply to, but the rest can wait, and possibly be junked! Not sure how long I can take this attitude...watch this space ;) I almost didn't do to the workshop today, so glad I did...I really ejoyed it, and learned a lot :D.

Going to get off this 'puter soon and relax downstairs with DH and DS2....they are more shattered than me, but then they were much iller (sp??) than me. Not sure what what I will knit next. Had a go at the knitted bag, not sure what I did wrong, but it doesn't look right. Think I will check the website again...think Greying posted the link.

    Night. night x

  • Keiss they are perfect and you know what you're right, if you don't do things - they'll be there, no one gets cross!

Ha to ds noticing my stripey tendancies, was it the rug, the jumpers, the socks, the plates........?

:) most chuffed me dear. You're things are so beautiful.

YOu have to look after yourself, have a lovely evening with the family xx

    I'm off for a bath x
