Woohoo to a new phone Pippi, have fun playing with it!!
Totally agree about replacing plastic bags. Jump up onto your soapbox whenever you want...it is your diary after all!!
Now, how quickly do you want these bags? I can't make any more until Thursday/Friday I'm afraid.
I am working on my book-keeping stuff this afternoon, then the course tonight. Tomorrow I have my choir in the morning, then a quick dash into the big town to invigilate all afternoon. I can get the material cut out on Wednesday evening, if the conservatory is not too pongy!
DH repainted the radiator and fancy new cover over a week ago, but still pongy and affects my asthmaIt isn't as bad as the previous paint we used, but still not sure why it is so bad as have used the same paint (satinwood) on all our other radiators with no problems. Curiouser and curiouser!!
Now I need to have a look at my course work...we had last week off (half-term) and I haven't done much for a while (too busy sewing!).
Enjoy the rest of the day xx

Keiss hello and aren't you busy
Bags are an ongoing delight - I have a few here - give them away and more turn up. It a very fluid arrangement - no pressure at all!
BOO to pongy radiator and my my you've a busy week ahead!
I'm seeing some rainbows later in the week and seeing if I can downsize them myself and make them one each.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

*waves* Loving the bags - Keiss they are gorgeous! Made a few similar ones out of bits from the discount bin at fabric shop when I first got my sewing machine - not as lovely or neat and tidy though (and the first couple had the handles sewn on the wrong way)
You might just persuade me to have another try though.....

Got a splitting headache atm. Off out to walk the dog, maybe that will clear away the cobwebs. Too much time @ the 'puter today methinks!

Hi hope you don't mind me popping in now and again, I am about to start reading your blog as I have found you all most uplifting. Keiss 21 if you put half an onion in the constervatory that should absorbe the paint smell.WW start date 31/8/2011 :j

Greying -can I add my 2penneth worth in?? I have a brother sewing machine and love it. What you want is a machine that will grow with you if you know what I mean. I know you said you only want it to do basic things but once you start using it it would be a shame for you to think "oh I wish it could do this now". most machines now sell seperate feet that you can use for doing more fancy things - pintucks, quilting etc.
Auto threading is very easy although the spring has started to go on mine now through old age so it takes a few goes.
Starnac - the more the merrier!! It is wonderful that you have taken the time to respond to my question. All views are great in helping my research. THANK YOU
Pippi - I was thinking what you said about 'maybe' charging a little/asking for a donation for the (cloth) bags. It's only my opinion, but as the Sooper Markets charge for their (plastic) 'Bag$ fer life', I don't think it would harm to charge - even just a nominal amount. I'm also mindful that folks have less money and are definitely feeling the pinch. But it seems to me that with a increasing collection of 'unique', 'designer', 'one-off' bags,(made to a high standard), people might actually be happy to pay something to have one. And all the lovely people who have made the bags will know that the wombling charity has benefitted. Only my musing - hope I haven't overstepped the mark.......
On a money saving note, we had soup and Nigella's breakfast pancakes for tea. Money saving because I made the thicker pancakes to cut down on the cooking time (use less gas :T) and dotted a few 'whoopsied' blueberries on the top, so they looked/tasted lush for pennies :T

I agree with Greying, a small donation is not a terrible thing to ask for. It is for a charity after all. It doesn't have to be mandatory if you're uncomfortable with that idea, just a suggested amount. I think most people would happily put some money in the tin.
