Glad you got home safely Pippi...oh dear, more choppy weather!! Have you managed to sort the dish yet, or is that going to wait for Spring??

Glad the fruit situation was cleared up, well done on resisting all that temptation!! :T:T

It was an interesting first night at my college course (Book-keeping for the Self Employed). It's really going to be about using Excel to get everything in order for the taxman. I am pretty good with Excel, but it's knowing what to include and where to put it, is my problem!! So should be a good few weeks...need to get my own spreadsheets up to date as we are to bring in our own numbers to crunch and sort out next week!!! A good reason for doing this course, if only to get my finger out!!

Been invigilating all week, and knitting inbetween sessions. The scarf I was knitting on Tuesday, I sold on Wednesday to a colleague...wish it was that easy all the time! :rotfl:

I've been coming up with some new ideas for things I want to make recently. "Just" need to sort out my spreadsheets and get a couple of things done for my
Monday quilting group sorted first before I can get going. Hope they will work out :).

Right, off to get tea sorted, roasted chicken thighs, with roast tatties and veg...normally have this on a Sunday, but didn't get the chicken until Tuesday, and I've been out/late for tea since then!!!

Have a good evening everyone xxx

Keiss, congratulations on selling the newly made scarf, thats excellent! By the way, do you put a label on your scarves, like patchworkers do? Could be good for marketing in the long term, tho it might put some people off, on a scarf at any rate.

  • Ks - well done on the scarf sale and getting to grips with the books. :)

Morning all - had a sneaky lie in.

KC - that's a great idea, Keiss you do put labels on don't you?

Today slow foodystuff to work on - posters to do and emails for a meeting next week
Need text about eggs for a chum
    Need feed chickens
    Banking to do
CC to pad to if I can
eggs to eat for brekkie myself.

Winds died down a bit here - thankfully - but its very soggy.

    Kettles on.

I don't put on ribbon-like labels, though I do include my business card, and stitch on loosely a paper label with care instructions...will make a note to get ribbon labels made/bought soon!!!

DH has come home with a new camera tonight.... a N!kon 1!!! He got a bonus this month (usually Feb), so got the camera now, in a sale with £75 off!! It is his birthday pressie (March!), so he is a happy bunny tonight!!! All he needs now is an aurora tomorrow tomorrow night...one has been forecast, so keep an eye out folks!!

Listening to the Gloucester-Toulouse rugby match...very exciting! A draw atm...but Glos is kicking for goal.....and it's over, so they are in the lead! Bet DH and DS2 are wishing they went to the match now (Glos, not France)!!! Now a try for Glos...fantastic!!!! Toulouse are one of the best rugby clubs in Europe, so brilliant!!! Only 5 minutes to go, so looking very promising!!

Used up my birthday M&S gift card today, really pleased with myself. Got a lovely white orchid (1/2 price); 5 dahlia tubers; 40 gladioli bulbs; a Paeony tuber - Sarah Bernhardt (3for2) and a tub each of brownie and caramel
mini bites (2for£4)...and I only had to pay £2 on top of my gift card!!! :j:j Talk about making my money stretch!!!

Oooh, Glos have won 34-24 , what a good match it was. My boys are definitely kicking themselves at not going to the match. Glos were expected to lose, so quite a turn-up for the books.

Right, need to get back to working through some Dreamweaver classes...slowly getting the hang of the programme's ins and outs....lots to learn. :D

    Have a good weekend everyone....xx
