If you don't live in the city it's so much easier not to spend. When we lived in Manchester (before we had our debt) DH and I would pop to the trafford centre for an evening for something to do. Cue about 4-5 shopping bags plus tea out in one of the restaurants cos "it'll save us cooking when we get home". Now we live in a small village with only small local shops for fruit/veg/local co-op etc. To go shopping properly is a bit of a trek so we don't go unless we need something. I did and thank you for a lovely catch up- great to tie things in! I love that orange shops sell apples very diverse!
Trip home was a bit bumpy and thankfully we flew as otherwise all the ferries were cancelled. Home to a satelitte dish hanging off the wall and 50mph winds -:eek:If you don't live in the city it's so much easier not to spend. The other one I quite liked was one of those but an 'ace' - great camera - but I need to double check when I'm due an upgrade online - I know tis soon.I 'foraged' for my upgrade - still cant use the bloomin thing
:TI'm glad you foraged - what a great way to do it - I'm kinda the same foraging and probably go for a second hand one or an upgrade. I really need a decent camera with internet access iyswim for working, so I'm checking out phones with good cameras.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

OK home
Freezing - snow on the hills here and silly winds.
Paper day need grab it and I've banks etc to do. I'm having a pottery day - where I've given myself the day off but I've a few non-paid-non-work things to tick off and then I'll feel happier about the next week and how it will pan out.
Ds out at 11am for a driving lesson - by saving him bus fare he's going to hoover downstairs. Win, win - I have to go in to town anyway.
Picked up car and man said he'd put the bill in the post. No more oil leak - hurray.
OK banks and warm clothes are the order of the day.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

North face duck down jacket - had to take it back to Northface to prove it was a fake (3 wks ago) - minute I got it out the bag it didn't feel/look right - thankfully my instincts were'nt wrong.

Stolen?
OH bought me a Swarovski necklace off Ebay from a seller in the US. It turned out that was fake too, reported it to Ebay and next thing we get a call saying the US police would like to speak to us (ended up we did it by email and had to send pictures of the necklace and fax the declaration from Swarovski UK to say it was fake and pictures of it being destroyed). Due to the amount this guy was selling and the state he lived in it was an extreme offence. The guys had millions of pounds worth of fakes he was trying to sell, he ended up in jail.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Bennetton purchase off (£38) jacket
All other spendy ggw stuff off (didn't spend much) can claim back hotel (booked through quidco) so I'll make a bit on that and £7.00 for the bus to claim back.
CC' not brilliant but not looking too bad. I've got to put a bit to the captain who's quite near that limit (28 left) - wtfc in bank and that will go to rent/cards (I keep forgetting I'll get paid this month before the rents due)
Overall spent about £50 on my own stuff in ggw. (hat, jacket, toblerone for mr F) Not too bad. One meal out but that covered through treat purse.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
