Re chicken bones - they go really soft when I use my pressure cooker to make stock (30-40 mins at pressure). So soft they can be crumbled by hand. They don't go soft with normal boiling btw, only after pressure cooking.

Also, the calcium will dissolve out of the bones if you use a bit of acid - I chuck in the juice and rind of a lemon, but the bones still go soft without the lemon - the pressure cooking is the main thing, if you don't want lemony chicken stock.

Now we've one of them at work - with a £5 on it :T thank you - I might buy it and have a go!!!!! You are a:A crumbly bone be the way forward!!!!

:) morning all - working at home today time for a brekkie breather and a quick catch up :)

I endeavour to be dull, I'm really dull in RL - but try as I might it never really works out for me so far :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And Wik, what on earth are you implying - mind you the size of OH - he'd make alot of good bonemeal.

Pippi you are far from dull, you are one of the most cheery and interesting people I know.

Cat food! Poor Peedie (:o, it is actually the same stuff though you would never know it, a friend works ina pet food canning factory and they use the same stuff for cat and dog food but that is the really cheap canned stuff), my doggie thankfully so far hasn't gone off her food like her Mum and Gran did when they were expecting puppies. They both went off their food after 3 weeks so I had 6 weeks of cooking chicken for them, grilling salmon and scrambling eggs (yep, I'm a complete softie!).

  • Money money money

£100 pad to captain - £723 available on that card
£100 pad to lucifer - £188 available on that card

    £46 left in rbs od
    £27 left in lloyds od

Paid £55 for MOT - yay woo hoo car went through OK - yippee - but have a £200 oil leak to fix next week - which is OK I'd thought £500 limit for the MOT - the car is getting old. Therefore I've PAD' the extra to the cards and will pay for the repair on that which kinda keeps that equal.

I *might* get paid from uni on Friday for invigilating - its due in then (£250)
I have to invoice womble land on 15th (£1000)
And, I've organied a bit more uni work in late January a few hours
    Need to organise more ebaying
Need to get to the garden I do in town and do a few hours for money.

All a bit tight - but fine.

And, I have a bazzillion lemons to slice and put in the freezer! Job for later.

If anyone suddenly glances at the last page or so without reading properly they are going to be a bit worried about all this 'bone grinding and disposal' I've just read a book like that (serial killer disposing of remains at the chicken factory) it is fiction mind.
