I love this thread.. things to do with Christmas cards.. and now bones! I've sorted my cards - most have gone for scrap paper/ shopping lists and yep some of those will be rather glittery :rotfl:
Hope it's a good day today PippiDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I didn't break my mixer but I tried one bone which didn't work well - maybe a bag and a hammer first? Then the mixer? Good for stress management! I'm determined to crack this one - sorry for the pun!!!! I will find a use for the whole darn chookie (cooked chookie if you're reading this cold, I'm tryign to use up all of a cooked chookie, not bludgeon a real chookie thats alive and uncooked)
Its great isn't it Red - recycled cards and chookies all in the breath of a wisp!
OK banks done
I've started a paper money diary - in my shiny paper vwcampervan diary which I didn't know what to do with - seems a good diary to use as its for adventures too!
I've put in all the months in's and outs from both accounts - first thing that strikes me is that really I need ONE bank account for everything make life alot easier - thats a plan to work on this month - move the DD's both in and out and then pay off that OD (lloyds) and keep the account until I don't need it as it won't cost me.
I've worked out I can pay another £100 to Captain and £50 to Lucifer - thats done. I've put £30 into DD online saver and nowt into gamers one yet but I need to start that asap.
I've written in all the money in to from patchworking, a maze on mid month, late month and early month. Which is fine. WTFC goes in weekly too and the cb goes in 4 weekly so its all a bit of a juggle.
I've about £47 left in fat controller today and £56 in the other account. Thats OK its under my OD limits and I know when the next lots in.
I've a fiver for egg money in my lovely birdy xmas pressie treats purse. As I pay for their food by cc - then I think the egg money can go in my treat purse can't it?
Right thats done - I've a meeting in town tonight for work from 6pm - I'd thought of going into town to yoga but I've missed the boat on that - so I'll potter here and make lists planning and do a bit but not a huge amount. And, start planning my Mondays totally off.

Isn't it great! I tell you what you could do to recycle the bones, Pippi - a hammer! On a paving slab, obviously - the bones will be in little bits, but as long as they're small bits ... I wonder if they'd be dangerous to peedie animals tho? Cos you're not supposed to give cooked bones to dogs, are you?
Good for you for trying!
We crossposted - you remembered about the bag, I didn't - laughed out loud when I read it tho2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
One tip - don't put bones under your best teatowel to bash them with a hammer...
(not that i did it with bones - but with old crockery...)0 -

I did also think about the bones, my food mixers not strong enough to break them down sadly, gave it a go yesterday.......:(
Have you got a crematorium near you? They have a great machine called a cremulator which they use to grind up bits of pelvis etc which don't burn fully. Like a tumble drier but with big metal balls _pale_. Maybe you could sneak in sometime.

Well My Dear Pippi... I hope you will be proud of me.. tonight I have sat and cut up Christmas Cards to use for shopping lists etc.. And also managed to do something I had been putting off... I also got last years cards out and cut them up too!! That was a wee bit emotional...
Ohhh and before I cut up this years cards I made a list of who sent this year
Managed to do a cunning grocery shop in Mr M's - which meant I got 6p off a litre of fuel voucher ...
Also got some well reduced meat - which has been casseroled
Along with a small loin of pork joint that was £2.47!! and cut into 4 nice slices to be grilled
I am learning!!!

LOVE the use the whole chicken advice! I think a pestle and mortar should work (plus some muscle
). I think you can make stock with bones too?
I have a chicken thigh marinading tonight for my OH (I am veggie) so perhaps I can use the bone too! I like the idea of grinding it up and putting it in with a plant/some seedsWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0
