Hi pippi. Glad you are feeling a bit better. Nice to see your huge lists back on here too :D

Thanks for the cordial recipe. I will def be making that this year. We got loads of veg planted yesterday as we spent most of the day in the garden and DH is currently outside sorting the shed and wrestling with the new greenhouse. I'm staying out of the way

So sorry you've been feeling down Pippi. I haven't been around as much as I'd like.

If you can manage without the frog's money, don't do work for her anymore. You have enjoyed your patchwork lifestyle so much it's not worth letting one frog spoil it for you. Take it easy if you can. Huge hugs!

Glad you're feeling brighter Pippi, well done on trying to sort things out.

I still recommend a trip to the docs though (or a counsellor). It's easy to think you are much better, then slip a few days later...sorry if that sounds a bit negative, but it's easy to kid yourself you are fine, when really you are still on shaky ground (thus speaks an old hand at fooling myself!!).

I can understand you having no time to stop and take a breather...I have been having the same problem lately...but there comes a time though when you just have to stop. Last weekend, despite being home all weekend, I was so shattered (and it was so hot), I slept for most of Saturday and Sunday!! So I hardly got anything done about the house and garden, but I do feel better!!

I was out washing all the trays and pots I had wanted to do at the weekend until 10pm last night, it was lovely and cool then too. So now, after having done a full morning IT work, I can get out into the garden/greenhouse and get some plants planted out/potted up. I have just had to learn that somethings just have to wait, no matter how much I want to do them right away.

Dare I say I cancelled one of my invigilation days a couple of weeks ago as I realized I had nearly a fortnight that I was busy doing something every day, with no chance to relax. I gave them 10 days notice, so I didn't feel guilty....much! :o

I know I am one who tends to take on too much, but am slowly managing to sort out the work/life balance...but it is still hard!!

So take care of yourself, and make time to just stop, or at least make time to do something relaxing and restorative to mind and body.

    Hugs xxx

Hey up chaps lovely to see you all and hear your thoughts comments and advice - its really helpful.

Well most of yesterdays list done and was quite enjoyable. Today is a monster day and from here - I'm hoping its a down hill romp towards sanity. Or something like that.

Today - will be out of the house from 9ish and back at 10pmish - todays a monster womble/gardening/gardenclass/board meeting in the evening

I'm hoping things never overlap like this again kinda day. But we'll get through it. Teaching stops after today. Phew.

Make food to take with me - thats sensible
Eggs sorted to drop off at various folks places
    Take dd into town
    Get hen food
    Check banks
Phone solicitor about houses - saw one yesterday but it was just too small although I loved it
Throw on some washing its lovely here again
Take a change of clothes from work to board meeting
Amazon parcel for work to package
Tools in car for a volunteer coming to work and for later.
Remember to organise seeds/plants for class and dibber
    Write invoices for gardening work
Write invoices for womble land and expenses
Text a chum organise a cuppa sometime soon
Pop into town garden and gawp at how much the grass has grown and perhaps if time cut it.
Walk doggies and get ds to take care of them later
    Feed chooks
Talk to Mr F at some point
    Take milk to work
DS to make tea/DD and me out
Work on report for work and do a summary for board meeting
Organise holiday cover for early July
Organise a lift to work so I can take Darwin home (as good as I am, I can't drive two cars!)
Begin to think about summer holidays and what to do.
Take box back to work which a volunteer baked cakes and put in

Well my day starts quite soon so I'm hopping in the shower and getting on with a few bits before I go. I hope you all have a great day and lifes fun.

Hiya hunny - hope you're feeling a little bit better again today. What you wrote about you and your youngest stripey one being the only ones in the house most of the time after September - and she's needing more and more ferrying around - it really does sound like it'd be less stressful for you to be in town *and* closer to a bus route.

Talking is good too. Anyway you can, and I'm here for you too, you know xxx

ETA - oh blimey, I crossposted with you, and that list is neverending! Take a few minutes throughout the day to just shut your eyes and breathe, okay? I'm a bit worried about you coping with a day like that, sorry, I know its not my place to worry about you ...

what do you mean you cant drive two cars? Well that just shattered my illusions of you being a Super Stripey Wonder woman :)

Seriously though, keep doing the lists, keep plodding, take even just five minutes now and then. It will soon be past the mad time, a holiday will be good for you to look forward to and when you get there you can just be yourself.

    Hugs.
