Keiss your sewing machine shop sounds amazing - do they give lessons in the shop at all ? i ask as we've a new sewing machine shop here and the brilliant thing is that you can book in for lessons - in some ways its not cheap but i think its really good value i *think* it works out at £10 an hour (no lunch or anything provided) ? Anyways of course the lessons bring people in who already have machines and want to learn something or newbies who do the lessons and then order a machine :)
Yup we have numerous workshops too, at about the same rate. Did a few hours of IT work at the shop last week (at my higher rate:j) , sorting out a document containing all the up and coming workshop sessions and sent them to everyone we have emails for (over 200 or so). Then I rearranged the document to fit as an insert for some already printed out leaflet covers (that the boss brought out after I had composed the original document ). Still, I got more time at my IT rate out of it, which was fine as the shop was very quiet due to the Olympic Torch coming to town late that afternoon. Lots of the roads were closed, so no-one came into town to shop, even my boss left early. if only to escape town before the roads were closed!! Didn't hang around to watch it, as was shattered, just walked to DH's work and we headed for home on unaturally quiet roads.

Managed at last to get out into the garden today, but even at 9:30 it was quite warm (24 deg C)....it eventually got to 29, and in the greenhouse, well!!.:eek::eek: Still, we emptied the greenhouse, then washed it down and have rearranged it for the summer plants (toms. peppers etc). DH used a new brush attached to the hose which is really quite good, though it leaks a bit. He practiced on the conservatory roof and windows
(with the help of some Stardrops of course :D) while I was clearing the greenhouse, so we have some sparkley glass glinting away in the sun now. Think I'll have to find the whitewash stuff to put on the greenhouse glass, as things are getting scorched with all this sun.

No, I am not complaining about the sun shining, but this heat has been getting to me the past couple of days. Luckily our cold house comes into its own in weather like this
:) Who needs air-conditioning, just pop into our sitting room!

Right, need to get to bed now, been talking to lil'sis tonight, so a late night....again!!! :o

Have a great Sunday everyone. Hope you have a restful day Pippi x

    Hey up chaps

Reply properly I promise in a while.

I'm really sorry, I'm really not coping too well at the moment. Too much working, no leisure time and I'm feeling quite off.

Please do take my apology for not being around much, I'm very down and no real one factor to blame.

I'm sure the normal cheerfulness will resume but for now, I'm more than a bit flat.

But, wanted to tell you how lovely it is to read u all on here and see you've popped by. It's really helping.

I've not much clue why I'm so unhappy but I'm sure it will all work through. I just didn't want any of you to think I didn't appreciate your efforts to post.

Really considering going dr And talking it through with someone. Maybe it's all the change that's coming up?

Anyway best foot forward, will speak to drs tomorrow for an appointment.

    Hope you're all splendid xxxxx

Thinking of you all, cheers for popping in and keeping the homestead busy.

Hey beautiful lady. Hope you feel better soon x

Work sometimes overwhelms us and feels like we're on a hamster wheel running around trying to juggle everything at once. I know how that feels and am looking forward to a little break next month once that final assignment is out of the way leaving just the thesis to do next year

hi pippi, maybe a trip to the Dr's will help, just talking to someone will help. There's so many things in your life changing at the moment, work it taking over, the little stripey's are growing up and about to start taking flight. If you want a chat please feel free to call me anytime.

Hope you feel better soon, and that the doctor can help.

I echo all that has been said above, you need to try and take a step back and take a breather...I know, easier said than done!! But better to pause now rather than things taking a more serious turn later on.

Give me a ring if you want to talk.

Take care, lots of (((((hugs))))) xxx
