anniebooklover don't worry!:D I don't take offence easily and in real life answer to any name, so in MSE life will not be bothered by any "crossed wires", but as i said i don't think the "original" is posting on here anyway:D
I had a son who displayed some of those "competitive" tendencies:rolleyes: , thankfully he grew out of it (largely!!;) ) so try not to worry too much:D (it wasn't until he turned twenty-something!!!!)

Churchmouse wrote:My username? Like so many sat with mind a complete blank, then thought of the saying "as poor as a Church mouse". To be honest, we're very far from being that, but as I'm quite involved in my Church, and we were that poor many years ago, it seemed appropriate! I really expected it to be taken, and was amazed when it wasn't. Found out later, there IS another but she spelt it churchmouse with a small "c" so the site had let me register with a capital "C". I felt quite inadequate in my choice of name, feeling that yours were all so much better, but now I quite like it!:D

I think the username Churchmouse really suits you.........I mean that in a nice way, it's just you!

It's funny how eveyone's names suit them. Just like when we name our kids in a wee while we can't imagine anything else suiting them. I do think you build up an image of people on here by their usernames. Churchmouse reminds me of someone kind, sweet and clever. Pink-winged suggests that you are feminine and efficient. God I'm a crawler.
My username on the otherhand
It just suggests i eat too many sweets, am probably fat and quite often steal them from small children. 0 -

Thank you for putting that better than I could.
Not the bit about you being fat and stealing from small children.....oh just pass me the spade so I can dig myself out of this one!

HariboJunkie you crawl as much as you want, I like it!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: And thanks Pink for your kind comments:D Without wishing to prostrate myself too much I've always loved your username. I did imagine it to have been conceived in a more glamorous way than your son's stick insects:rotfl: But isn't it interesting to learn how people arrived at their usernames? Some are pretty obvious ( or so it seems). HariboJunkie I thought you were named after a love of the sweets, and AussieLass is pretty self-explanatory, but others are far more obscure:cool: :rotfl: Now why did SnowyOwl chose that when she's obviously crazy about puttycats?!!! Come on Snowy, we need to know!:D ( I DO like your name, and couldn't think of you as anything else now, so don't even think of changing:D ) Do hope some more of the regulars enlighten us.:TYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

My user name I picked up years ago when I used to model leather gear and was considered 'a babe'
There was a piccie taken with me all togged up and a fag in my hand, which was very well accepted. Unfortunately I don't have that particular one but I will scan some or the others soon when I dig them out.
Nowadays due to 3 cesarians and gravity I no longer really fit the bill, but I liked the name.If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

And I thought it was 'cos you smoked like a chimney!
I chose my username by pure chance. As I was thinking of one my gaze fell on the bookshelves and the first title I saw had the words ''Quasar'' in it, so....:)Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Evening (ok, morning
)
Back from house party at the opposite corner of South London, and I managed to undo all my MSE efforts this week by getting a cab home from Waterloo. The buses aren't great after midnight, and there have been some goings-on in my neighbourhood today - let's just say that although the lowlife minority in my neighbourhood are in the business of trying to kill EACH OTHER rather than the general public, I still feel it's in my interests to be dropped off as near to my door as possible after dark.
Crazychik OMG your second cat looks just like our Stripey who I shared with my ex-housemate and his real owner who lives across the street from my old house! Stripey had mouth cancer and was put down about three months ago
Must go now... got to be up for church in the morning... besides which, somebody has probably started Sundays thread by now :rotfl:
EDIT: by the way... OVER 200 POSTS... this has to be the longest Daily ever!
