  • Morning everyone. Does anyone have any ideas on where to sell childrens / toddler / baby books? I have at least 6 big boxes to shift and as most are in excellent condition, I would ideally like to make more than 20p each at a bootsale. Hope someone can help. Many thanks

have you checked the isbn number on amazon some might be worth putting on there otherwise how about having a book swap with friends good excuse for a get together at the end of january and although you wont make any money from them you might get some age appropiate books for your kids ;)

ps cant believe i know about isbn lol

    Hi Guys

There are some great starts already - well done and good luck to everyone ebaying this weekend!

I have chucked another £8 away in my 2012 savings envelope to be paid into the bank in 2 weeks!

This week has been tricky tho': i am doing some volunteering this weekend at a local nature reserve to boost my CV and knowledge (i'm doing an OU environmental science degree) and had to buy some wellies and welly liners, felt sad that i wouldn't be able to save the money! what a nutter! The hardest challenge came on Thursday though - my work mates decided to get chinese and as tempted as i was (i literally had to barricade the door to prevent me getting out!) i managed to resist (somehow!!!) it also helped that i only had a tenner in my purse and the chinese would set me back a fiver. I had toast instead, and while i missed the chinese food (it is my weakness) felt virtuos :Athat i didn't spend.

How has the first week in been for you guys? any wobbly moments?

    Carol
  • well, ive hammered ebay today to the point ive had my 100 listings for the month...got so engrossed in it that I forgot to text my boyfriend :o Had a lovely surprise this morning, I bought a box of sylvanian families furniture from someone on facebook, based only on the description...got it home and opened it and it was full of vintage furniture in immaculate condition  I only paid £8 for it and its worth around £100 based on completed ebay listings...! do I re-sell it or not....hmmm!

hiya just a quick catch up.

I sold that xmas unwanted present on ebay £4.36 ok well may have cheated a little as boys got the same curious gorge dvd so didnt feel too bad about ebaying it.

Had a very busy weekend have been painting kitchen, hallways landing etc . Was quoted £300 to do the job including the paint, however have been waiting ages for a friend of a friend to do for us. So decided to do it our selfs. Had £30 love to shop vouchers left an spent £45 on top of that. Looks much nicer though completely knacked now. morning in the office yday up till 11pm last night painting, then today took it in turns looking after 2 small kids while the other finished.
having a day off tomorrow, nice family day in brighton just need to aviod shopping in the sales....
  • That's a tough challenge Elly. I've managed 10 items so far but don't know if I can find anymore!! I don't want to fail a challenge this early on though. Will you be able to think of 52 challenges?
