Evening all, hope you are all doing well. I am going to have to do 2 challenges in one day - not going to fail so early!!! I have been planning on making up a box for the charity shop can easily do that tomorrow morning and then also am going to try and get 20 items listed tomorrow - not convinced I will be able to but will do my best - probably have about 20 things kicking around to ebay (including dresses I have bought from there and don't fit very well!) I've convinced myself I MUST do it!!!
Other than that, all going well here - made £20.13 matched betting, and still have some free bets to use tomorrow. Also done a few other bits and bobs, bringing my total up to a respectable £507.32 - woopI haven't been very good at saving it so far this month - partly being skint from Christmas, and partly having things all over the place but I will attempt to make sure it all ends up in some form of savings! I am also pleased to announce I have logged back into Onepoll, valued opinions and yougov - already abut halfway there on all of them so hopefully not too long til payouts

I'm up for the 20 items on ebay challenge!
I have got loads of old stuff to sell....it's just motivating myself to get them all listed. I have 2 things on already...will put the other 18 on tomorrow!
On a different note - I caught my dear fiance raiding my saved up coins tonight! Sooo cross! Needless to say - my money box has found another hiding place....£170/£12,000
A long way to go but enjoying the challenge!0 -
I going to try the 20 items on ebay challenge tomorrow.
I have a few bits and pieces to add
£4.00 - pennies which I changed last week
£2.95 - took bag old clothes to get weighed
£6.40 - refund from a complaint about some shampoo
£30.50 - Ebay sale
£1.34 - Cashback
so total of £45.19 at the moment, not much but every little helps I suppose.
Ive also done four mystery shops but I will wait until I get paid before I add these to the balance.0 -
Going to join in on this one me thinks.
Moving out this month or next hopefully and i currently save £500 a month living at my moms. Now i dont know where the other 1k goes but i need to stop this haemorrage in my funds and save some more (400 in my account atm and payday is on friday woop woop!).
I think due to me moving out soon i think £6k is a reasonable target considering my expenditure is going to have to be alot in order to buy washing machines fridge/freezers etc etc etc!
Only 500 a month but i think its a reasonable target, i dont live in dream land :P it gets me upset.8k/13k for 2013!0 -

Its about trying rather than failing to be honest if i'd said 10 you would have only did 5 think of me when you get the money for the other 5 :T and yes if you have followed this thread before i reckon with my imagination I can do nother 50So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0 -
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Elly for starting this thread, you were just the inspiration I needed.
I haven't done the e-bay challenge though nor the get rid of the unwanted Christmas present. I haven't got anything suitable for e-bay at the moment but I will definitely be car booting etc when the weather picks up.
Re the Christmas presents - I was given a £100 voucher to spend at M&S so I will have a little splurge at some point.
I was also given cheques and cash to the tune of £250 - I know lucky me, TBH there's nothing I really need or want at the moment so I'm going to bank that and add to my fund.
Takes me up to £400 this week.
I'm loving it.
So once again thanks Elly - for giving me the kick up the @ss I needed to get me started.0 -
Ok 1christmas present item put by door for charity shop - not sure it counts as haven't taken it there yet. But it'll do for me.
2nd challenge - I hate ebay and just could not bring myself to do it but didn't want to give up on week 2 so I decided to try out zapper and managed to find 25 books they will accept and entered codes etc. Just need to pack and send in the next couple of days. So I am counting that as a success for the 2nd challenge. Plus I get £20.41 which is less than they are worth but at least they will be out of the way. Had never heard of zapper until reading this thread the other day so thats great.
Elly - lol about the giving up drink. Do you remember the first year when quite by chance I always seemed to post just after you mentioned having a drink and made you look like you were always "merry"!!
