evening all - everybody still seems really positive - no more to add to the pot at the moment but should have by the weekend, did however get mega bargains at Asda- £50 of chicken, pork, gammon, mince, 40-45 slices silverside, and smoked fish, for less than £5 - wasnt going to go in as just picking somebody up but thought i'd nip in for milk so thats about 14+ nights teas for pennies! got a vaccum sealer from sis at christmas as she got a new one so have manage to get it all in the freezer! got a bag of free tatties from friend of o/h's who works on a farm, so shopping this month should be minimal, will put £20 in the kitty i think just because of the amount i've saved just on this. wish i could get shopping at that price all the time!
have put add on gumtree, got another 2 orders today for later in the year and a off work next week so will focus on money making after done tax return (eeeeeeeeeeeeek)skintbint x

Evening all, that's some good shopping there skintbint - well done!
I have got £60 in my grubby hands for tutoring 2 hours today, plus £7.68 from a matched bet, good times!!! Another hours tutoring tomorrow as well which is nice! I have been motivated to carry on with 2 survey sites - Onepoll and Valued Opinions, have reasonable balances in there already so will keep on with it to get payout. I must admit I often restart 48 survey companies and 79 daiy clicks (...ish...) and then get bored again so I think concentrating on a couple will work out better for me!

My mobile contract is now finished after 24 months so cancelling it and going to GiffGaff instead. Was paying £35 a month and will now be paying £10 a month since I'm not needing a new phone (have had my iPhone 3GS for the 24 months and it's still awesome). This makes no difference to my savings unfortunately as my husband pays it (I pay mortgage, he pays bills and food) but thought it might give other people ideas
Paying £10 a month with GiffGaff gives me 250 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited web. Awesome deal!

Had a good sort of the bathroom cupboard and pulled out dozens and dozens of bottles of bubble bath/baby bath/baby shampoo/adult shampoo/shower gel and 3 new deodarents and 4 odd toilet rolls lol.
I think I bought them when offers were on and shoved them in the cupboard for later oops.
Already had some stuff on the window sill in there.
So I reckon no bubble bath/shower gel etc for the rest of the year easily, deoderant maybe 4-6 months, so that should save some money long term. Also had a bit of a stock take after christmas, loads of tinned stuff, frozen stuff and cupboard stocks. So going to concentrate on mealplanning around those for the next couple of months to cut our shopping bills. Spent just £15 in Aldi today and may need a bit more say £10 ish later in the week if the milk/bread runs out (with 4 kids is hard to know some weeks how much milk or bread they will have that week lol).
Looking at selling some stuff on ebay and will put some more in the account on sat.

Hello - I think I'm going to tentatively join again this year. Can't believe its 2 years since the first one started. I'm not sure what my target is yet and I need to make sure I stay balanced with it this time. First year I was obsessed with the thread - last year I dropped out fairly early on. So hoping for a happy medium this time!!
Will at least try to do the challenges each week.
