hi all, some great ideas there cazza! I am guilty of buying cleaning products and toiletries way before i have run out. Iv always had this "thing" bout running outta cleaning stuff..not that ud know to look at the house at the minute!!

Im goin to try not to buy things like that until i really need them.Plus i think when the kids know that there are back up products in the cupboard they use far more "stuff" than they need to.Take fairy liquid for example...i swear DD1 feeds it to the kitchen sink! I wonder if i should dilute it so she uses less???

    sooo many questions

well as usual i have acheived nothing other than finding 'the cow' and writing a report for OU.

I have made the decision not to include overtime in my calculations. A brave move possibly but I hope that as this money will be 'extras' I hope to save it all in a seperate account until needed.

No, but I have thought about it. Wouldn't know where to start though lol. Could be a good idea!
I've been researching and th saftey assesments to sell seem expensive but making for own use could work out as a saving depending on what you use. i reckon 1kg lush type soap for around £8 compared to £30 in lush. only issue is the 1kg is all the same scent assuming you make a loaf/log and then slice it.

I got a box of rose smelling soaps and I have stashed it away to be given to DD's school's xmas tombola this year. I seem to be getting some toiletries every year that I don't like so by gifting them to school it saves me hunting and paying for tombola prizes :D

  • I like the idea of challenges Elly. We are trying to chuck out an item for everyone we have been given for christmas but its pretty hard. I'm not very good at chucking out things which were presents - I feel too bad!

    My total is still £0!

  • Yep, great idea for doing challenges Elly - thanks will keep us all on the ball!!!

Have had a pretty good start, done some advantage playing (similar ish to matched betting but we are not allowed to discuss here, sorry) and have made a profit of £195 - £20 of that is going back to invest so will call it £175. Am now waiting for it to withdraw so can carry on! Also have some matched bets started so that should start coming in too - it's all about cash flow at the moment though!

Will keep my eyes open for offers that i can mention here - good luck to you all in your efforts :D
