hi all, back from our holidays and eager to get going, have managed to put £800 in the savings account rather than spend it, and also pay of £200 from one of our debts, looks alot but only doable this month i think, so hopefully we can get a head start for the rest of the year, abit of rearranging different things and we might just do this, really hoping to pay 2 debts of this year wich ill be including in my total. good luck everyone and happy new year
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed
  • Been having a good first week so far, £56 accounted for and extras and change going in pots each night. Have listed loads of stuff on facebook, it works well just lots of people don't show but less hassle than eBay with bad buyers and postage. Have gathered 3 bin bags of old clothes and shoes for the clothes recycling bank at the top of my street, should get about £15 from that! Also had some good news, my local music shop is going to sell my vintage vinyl clocks on a commission basis so that's some more free space and when one sells I can use the profit to buy more supplies and make more and he thinks he can sell them for £19.99 (he's getting the £4.99 commission and I could only sell them for about £10 anyway but people tend to pay more for things like that in places like a music shop!)

I've also decided to re-deisgn and overhaul my blog and change the direction I'm going with it. I think as K turns 11 at the weekend I am now a bit past being a "mummy blogger" so I'm turning my focus to new things. Not quite sure what yet exactly but definately simple and healthy cooking on a budget is going to be some thing I will include. Any ideas welcome, especially from any of you who have read my blog before!

Best get some more stuff on Facebook or I may as well keep my front door open and stick a sign outside that says TAT SHOP NOW OPEN! :rotfl:
  • £1.79 Amazon sale. wahoo. total now £49.79. I'd like to make at least £500 a month so still a little short....
  • Happy New Year everyone :j fingers crossed some of my moneysaving tips will be featured in Woman's Own at the end of January :T
Not done much so far this year although as this is my first day back at work I haven't spent any money yet lol.
I am due £100 of M&S vouchers at the end of January for switching energy suppliers plus a saving of £20 per month and also £40 through a cashback site for applying for a loan. I didn't take it out in the end but should still get the cashback, bizarre !
I have also asked the local Council tax office to reassess my house as my next door neighbour is in a lower tax band than me so keeping my fingers and legs crossed

Well, I am still casting nets out and not yet pulled in a cash catch, but one day...... today I applied to be a mystery shopper with another company, and I managed to get 15p in 1 Poll.

Since I've decided to save my £2 coins no one has given me any! Typical.
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60

          1. The money I am saving each month from switching energy suppliers I am going to pay in to the Xmas club at work and also use the M&S vouchers for food and put the cash into a seperate account so that I can feel the benefit at the end of the year:A

          3. Well I have been lucky enough to have had yet another amazing day on ebay - upto £69 today, taking me to £382 this week alone :) 14/53 items have bids and most have watchers,so fingers crossed that I will get rid of a lot of my junk and make some more pennies! Had some cash back confirmed and i will add this once it hits my bank account :) Ive got six nights off after my night shift tomorrow so I will hammer the junk and ebay it all and keep up with the job hunt!

Dizzyblnd - you just search for things like stuff for sale in (where you live) or buy/sell/swap in (where you live) it works really well, well it is doing for me, I sold 2 things to someone today, she should have only paid £7.50 but she did not have any change and I only had a £5 so she gave me £15 for them! I've got some more people coming to collect stuff tomorrow totalling £55 so this week is well above target, I am only aiming small this month to get into the swing of things!

Also I reached £20 on myshoppingrewards so that will be a nice cheque for next month, I won a red letter days voucher (£10) which will go towards OH's car driving day b'day gift and I have an article in the Daily Mirror weekend mag too so that's another cheque for next month too :)

Update: 22:30 - my OH just put £20 in my sealed jar! SQUEE! I can go and update my spredsheet AGAIN!
