I'm in too please - going to go for £12,000 for 2012 and will be thrilled with half!!

I am usually pretty good at doing things throughout the year but forget to post, lose track etc. I am going to do my best to keep it going as I would LOVE to see an actual total at the end of the year. I am also going to do as someone else posted earlier and transfer EVERYTHING - even 20p or whatever into a separate account, if I need the money I can then "withdraw" it from there but at least I will have a clearer idea of an overall total.

    OK so plan involves:
    Re-starting MB
    Tutoring
    Saving £2 coins
    Cashback
Selling bits and bobs on EBay
Counting up pennies jar and carrying on saving them
    The odd survey etc
And whatever else comes my way!!!

Nothing too ground breaking there but should see me off to a good start!!! Looking forward to reading all your exploits and inspirations

    Day 1; £0 / £12 000... rolling around smiley!!

Day one and penny jar counted... £60 all bagged up and ready to get banked. Had a but of help sorting and counting from my two DD's so took a bit longer!

Went for a lovely puddle splash with the family this afternoon, nothing to save so to speak but better than going to soft play or swimming etc.

Right I am going to hit the 12k in the following way:

matched betting, I need to do it
jewellery - sell what i have made already, easy 1k in stock i would imagine as i'm off on a different direction
look at where i am survey wise and try hit payout.
see if anywhere offering financial incentives for account opening

I will just be aiming for £2012 hope thats ok but we are already going to struggle this year so just want to have that much in a savings account which isnt needed for anything else by Dec 12. :)

I think I'll join you in that challenge minipenny, that would be a nice sum to save by the end of the year. :)

Ok, well I put it off for a few days to squeeze into the 2012 figures, and I can start off with 240.37 in freelancing earnings.

If I could keep that up for the whole year I'd be aiming for 87k. Sadly, I suspect I won't be able to keep that up :p

  • HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Got off to a good stuff so far! I have listed a sewing machine on eBay, sent off ink cartridges have been sent off to Boots that 100 points for each one (500 points). Just procrastinating a teensy bit today decided to chill out a bit, but I have made my task list for tomorrow.

I've started off a new penny (and pound jar) I just dump the leftover from my purse in each day, if I don't see it - I won't spend it. Found my library card, so I will start going there again, got to stop buying books.

Big smile on my face feel really excited about all this :)

    12K 2012 challenge: £5896.33/£12000
    £2021 in 2021 challenge: £605.02/£2021
Debt free wannabe: £24695/£24695 - Debt free date: November 2021
  • Would be lovely to say £150K hahaha! Oh could you imagine! I would at the very least like to put £7000 allowance in my ISA before April! I just seem to always have to pay out money :(

I am self employed, I teach english as a foreign language and also do Art so maybe if I actually work hard I will get somewhere LOL! Christmas this year was awful, I barely had money to buy presents and I am determined this year will be different!

So my aim... £12,000.... I really want a home abroad!!

I'll join you too if you dont mind. The only guaranteed income i have at the moment though is the £20 Child allowance for my son but i am keen to invest it into a sizeable sum.

I also have my online earnings (which i use to buy things we need). I wont be able to make no where near 12k but i would like to see how much i can make.
