oh if you have a canteen you'll be fine - we don't :( and the nearest shops are Tesco and M&S neither of which do my budget any favours!

My only saving grace is that I am based at an 'out of town' location! Annoying if you need a birthday card or dry cleaning but definately better for my purse overall ;)

Productive day here - have cleaned and 'surface' tidied every room in my apartment. Really need to have a proper clear out though, lots of 'stuff' just shoved in drawers - and as for my wardrobe and shoe cupboard :o

Am about put my birthdays into my new (pink) diary and calendar, and swop my handbag over - time for Pippa to make her debut!

Back to work tomorrow, a days holiday saved for later in the year! So I intend to finish the day with a glass of fizz, in a crystal flute (!) to toast my fabulous life in 2012, then off to bed with my Kindle :D

Cointreau and champagne is delicious (remembering that from 30 years ago, sigh). Happy New Year everyone! x

Pippa is gorgeous, I love her and she will certainly help with the resolution to look groomed everyday! :D

Have been thinking that I'd like to do a few things to my apartment this year, I spend a lot of time here and think it should be as fabulous as I am ;). Obviously, this will take money but there are a few low spend things I could do to glam it up - and keeping it clean and tidy is free! (There's another resolution)

I intend to keep money tight this year in the boring areas like electricity, petrol, day-to-day groceries etc but I have kept the fun and glam stuff in my budget - nails, shoes and nights out! :D Already have a little 'treats' fund - £25 Argos giftcard, £9 House of Fraser, £2.50 Arcadia and £32.50 New Look vouchers, and £30 Christmas money :) I intend to keep saving Nectar points to get household stuff from Argos (I need a new hoover) and Amazon vouchers to keep my Kindle topped up (I saved the vouchers to buy the Kindle in the first place!). Will try to save my work bonus vouchers to get 2 x £50 vouchers for wedding presents this year and then any extras for Christmas (or maybe another 'Pippa type' treat for me :)) Any actual extra cash I get (unlikely :() can go directly towards debts

It's all about being organised - a little bit each day instead of last minute panics and stress, whether with money, domestic stuff or trying to lose a stone in a week for an event! :o

Work is slow, but then I expected it to be! Was nice to drive in with no traffic though! Managed to get up in a timely way and leave with the apartment tidy, bed made and dishes washed - and me groomed! Wearing jeans but nice boots and accessories, and I have Pippa of course! Anybody who knows me will know these simple sounding things are real achievements - I'm so not a morning person :o

Have my gym stuff in the car so that's my after work plan. Not been for over a month so am expecting it to be !

As it's been quiet I've been pondering and checking some balances. I have enough incentive points to redeem for £25 vouchers for my Mum's birthday at the end of the month whilst still having enough time to let them acumulate for 2 x wedding presents. I need about another £5 Nectar points to get a basic hoover, which is all I need. I could use my Argos giftcard but I'd like to get something a bit more exciting with that :p Maybe some earrings or a hair volumising thingy!

Spends have been £10 for lunches for the week, am determined not to put anymore on my staff card this week and make it last. I have food in for dinner tonight so should be quite a low spend day :)
