Living my life in fabulous shoes!

I've decided to start a new diary whilst I try to focus and get my life on track
In the past I have set myself big goals, started off with loads of enthusiasm and then fallen at the first hurdle!
Motivation is not my strong point, and I'm not very good at sticking at things. This diary is aimed at little goals, sometimes just surviving the day!
The 'big' goals are to get out of debt and control my spending habits, and to lose weight. These are two big goals that overwhelm me at times, and I also have a love/hate relationship with my job and am not sure whether to stay or look for another one? All that without mentioning my long term single status
For any followers from the past who I haven't driven away/bored witless a few things from the last few weeks;

For any followers from the past who I haven't driven away/bored witless a few things from the last few weeks;
- I have been out a few times, and had some fun social events
- have been praised and recieved a 'thank you' bouquet at work
- haven't lost any weight!
- haven't kept an eye on my spending/debts though I haven't done any major overspending
- have redeemed my Amazon vouchers for a Kindle - and I love it
Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

Tried to do some Christmas shopping but not sure I've quite got it! I bought one present and some cards - but then managed to buy myself some boots from Office and a cardigan in Mango :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I did have some birthday money left so actual spend was £50ish so not too bad. As I managed not to spend anything at last week's Christmas party (I was owed a lot of 'thank you' drinks
) I don't mind allowing myself a little treat - and I love the boots, and they had £40 off!
But know I do really need to get my head around what I need to do/buy or I'm going to end up in a stressy panic!Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Hi Shoegal, welcome to your shiny new diary.
We kind of have the same goals - I am not single though, but spend most of my days trying to watch what I eat and trying to watch what I spend in my quest to become a skinny minny with lots of moneyJust keep swimming!0 -
Not a bad day - got a 'thnak you' card at work! Also managed to sort out a birthday present for a colleague
Not made much progress on the Christmas shopping but I have decided (almost) what I'm getting for people
Team night out tomorrow - with Secret Santa pressiesNeed to get mine wrapped tonight, and maybe write my cards

little steps is definitely the best - feels very deflating when others can't appreciate how tiny little bites can build up to big changes, but just keep going and you will get there
