Wow - I didn't realise I'd been away so long!! :o Shows that my life has been totally taken over in the last couple of weeks by work - I have literally been working and sleeping!

Workwise, I ended up having a complete melt down last week but in a strange way I'm hoping it may have done some good. It enabled me to have a long chat with my boss' boss and really air my issues about my lack of progress/how I am taken for granted etc. We have put a plan in place as to how this might be improved over the following months so hopefully that will come to fruition

As I have been managing this event my eating has been all over the place - either too busy to eat and missing meals or eating 'corporate' dinners! Anyway, I've weighed in this morning and have managed to maintain my 5lbs weight loss which I'm really pleased about - probably more by accident than design but I'm still chuffed. I've not done any exercise at all so I need to get a plan together. I won't quite make my half stone in January target but I have a much quieter February so am hoping for a better month

Money is not good but I'm just about surviving until pay day on Wednesday. My service and MOT cost £240 last week as I needed new brake discs. My car fund and remaining Christmas bonus just about covered this but I now need new tyres, so will need to pay for them this month (fortunately it's a council tax free month to help out)

It's my Mum's birthday today, got her some vouchers using points, so only had a card and box of chocs to pay for. Family meal at my sister's so just need to buy wine.

Have bought 2 tops using my Christmas money so no clothes spend to declare. Forced myself to go out for a 40th birthday on Friday as I was really really tired by got away with a £20 spend. Apart from car costs I think my spending has gone on bad food choices at the Co-op as I've been late and tired, a few pub nights around the event and a few beauty bits - but somehow I have £160 on my 'emergency' credit card :o

February includes my nephews birthday, a friends birthday with a night out and 4 new tyres! Definately need to keep unneccesary spending under control!

Plan for the rest of the day is to clean and tidy my apartment as it's looking a bit neglected and then dust off Davina to kick start a refocus on dieting and fitness. Then tea at my sister's :)

*calls off the search party & breathes again*

    Hi sweetie,

so glad to hear from you :j. Sorry to hear that work has been so tough, but like you say, perhaps a meltdown was a way to get yourself heard.

Those little CC spends can certainly add up & 4 new tyres is a pain, but well done on maintaining the weight loss & not spending blowing your clothes allowance :T

So relieved to hear that you'll be putting Davina through her paces, she's been an evil torturess here & I now know that I absolutely cannot do any lunges without budgering up my knees :(.

So, if you wouldn't mind keeping her busy while I run & get back to my marching which is far less dangerous :rotfl:

    xx
  • great to hear from you :) and thanks hugely for the reminder about the council tax-free month coming up! hurrah! :j :D

work stuff sounds promising - I hope this continues and things are less stressful for you very soon :)

I love Davina DVDs and while I hate the lunges and have to be really careful with them as well, I am so glad that she pulls faces through them as well - it's nice to know that even super fit people find them a killer!
