Hiya hun!
Well done on the weight loss. You should update your CV anyway and put it up online and see whats out there anyway, I seem to be becoming miss job hopper right now (well maybe!) no harm in looking whats out there! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
hey shoegal
great to hear about the weight loss... and don't feel too bad, I know if I eat like crap for 5 days I'll be up 3-4 pounds, but clean eating and exercising for the next week and it'll be down again. Really doesn't make sense but hey, at least its reversible.
Know it must be frustrating on the job front but for the time being if you have one and its secure maybe best to wait until things pick up? Then you'll have more options if something happens with a new position if it doesn't work out.... but of course you'll know you circumstances better than I... just a suggestion.LBM - June 2014 DFD Goal: June 2016 (28th Bday!)

Thanks guys :A The job situation is frustrating, but I probably need to just ride it out at the moment!
Managed 20mins exercise DVD yesterday, my plan is to do 20 mins 5 times per week. I think I may be better with small, manageable amounts, and at home too, so that it's easier to stick to.
Got some vouchers in a promotion at work so have treated myself to a Links of London Sweetie bracelet and heart charmWas delivered this morning so something to brighten a dull Monday! And I treated myself o a set of much needed underwear yesterday - £30 to declare on the clothes challenge!
Not much planned this week so time to focus on dieting and exercise - and a few early nights. I really want to be skinny and glam!Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Nothing much to report today! Didn't exercise last night (am a bit sore actually as I'm so unfit
) but plan to tonight
Am pondering on applying for a job I've seen advertised??? And am pondering about 'the man' again!Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
No harm in applying for a new job! I am on my 3rd job since the recession started so there is work if you want it!
New man??? OoooooNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Have applied for a job today, not sure it's what I want but worth considering
And dinner out tonight
Have been rethinking my dieting strategy - have put 3lbs back on again this week. Need to stop this all or nothing routineMy plan now is to cut out all snacking and extras on normal days and allow myself to enjoy nights out, weekends etc. I aim for one pound per week weightloss. 10 weeks to my friends wedding so 10lbs off by then is my target

Good sensible eating plan is the key, along with regular exercise. I did think that 5lbs was a heck of a lot to lose in one week & such dramatic losses are rarely sustainable.
Have you tried simple calorie counting ? I'm using this & it's brilliant, I have it on my phone so I can easily log every thing I consume & any exercise done gives you calories back. A bit like a kind of eating quidco :rotfl:
It also highlights exactly where I'm consuming most of my calories ... snacks0 -
Mmmm... Dieting tips. Well if it helps I lost most of my weight just by cutting out most carbs.. not all. I drink so much tea with sugar it really is unbelievable, but I cut out bread, rice, pasta, potatoes and most other sweets (had dark choc 70%+ as a treat when I needed it). One of the best ways to do it, since most of those things spike your blood sugar levels and will make your body want to hold the weight.... Anyway, worked for meLBM - June 2014 DFD Goal: June 2016 (28th Bday!)

Thanks guys :A
I am just trying to go with a kind of 'mindful' eating plan. Went out for dinner last night and didn't have dessert - that kind of approach. Not depriving myself too much

:j It's Saturday
Nothing planned this weekend, and that's actually rather nice! I've had a lie in and am now mooching about on here and on Facebook. Vauge ideas in my head, need to do loads of housework, the need to clear out my wardrobe is still lurking, need to food shop and a little mooch in the shops would be nice! I have no excuse not to do some exercise - and I want to spend some quality time with my Kindle
