  • Ouch... £90 to get the car roadworthy again. And I'm still more than aware that it needs a couple of new tyres.
Still, I am quite proud that I've managed to find the £260 that it's needed in the past week. Even if it's left me more skint than I care to imagine.

  • I hate days like today - when I wake up feeling a little bit down for no good reason at all.
I have a husband who loves me and two gorgeous kids, I have a job which is stressful but ultimately what I want to do, I am getting on track financially, but I just feel a bit 'meh'.
Still, off to visit my mum later - she will spoil me rotten for a couple of hours and make me feel fabulous as well.
Housework is as done as I ever do it - things are looking on track Christmas wise (even if I am going to have to leave it last minute for the first time ever).
Must snap myself out of this.

  • I'm not sure how many people read my diary, or how many of those people will have any reply to this but I can't really talk to anyone in real life about it. So I figure that on here, nobody really knows me, and it'll help me get it off my chest.
I'm really worried about my mother. She was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago but doesn't look after herself very well. Today I noticed that she has a really bad tremor in her hands. Whether this is diabetes related or something else I don't know but I asked her about seeing the doctor, and she said it wasn't important enough to. This worries me.
Then she got a text to her phone which I accidentally saw and wish I had never seen. Just from a number - no name attached, but a flirty type of message. I know she had an affair when she was married to my dad. She's been remarried a few years now, but I really hope that this is not happening again. I know it's my fault because I saw the text but I don't know if I should just ignore it or what.
There's too much going on in my head - it's horrible when the person you look up to most in life turns out to be not quite what you thought.
I don't know what to do, who to talk to about it, whether to try and forget it. Make her a doctors appointment or what?
    Grrr.

Doctors appointment maybe in view of the diabetes and the fact you feel she doesnt look after herself. The other stuff.......well its difficult.......I know what you mean about finding out something about a person which changes your perception of them. Tricky one as my attitude would be well they are an adult with life experiences behind them.........but it doesnt make it any easier I know :( You have your own little family to look after now............

  • Thanks... it's a horrible feeling. I love her SO much and wish she'd look after herself better. She's too important to me.

  • Hi wannabee, I agree with Igamogam maybe try and persuade your mum just to have a check up, you could offer to go with her.
As for the other not really sure, try not to worry, sending hugs.
