Don't worry PAP, this is the problem I had, just keep persevereing. (PS have Pm ed you.

    NB.

    1. I see you are saving for Christmas yet already have loads in your Christmas Box - do you still need to save so much?

    2. Get on to BT; they won't offer to reduce your DD/SO, be firm and suggest an amount based on usage

wave2.gif well i have been trough the whole list of the administration/secretary posts on the job centre for bristol and all i found was scanner and stationary assistant  everyone else wanted previous experiance  do employers not understand that people wanting to change carrers/just finishing school will not have experiance  why will no one give anyone a chance... sorry rant over...

i have looked at your pm and will make the relevant changes thanks...

xmas savings are a must really... although i do have an xmas box most are stocking presents, i dont really want to be heading into november with no seperate savings and having to use my target savings in my sig

One you have tweaked your CV it may be worth a mail shot? Mos legal firms recruit via AGencies (paying hefty fees for the privelege) so it is certainly worth a go. For instance we need an additional secretary but noone has got their act together to advertise! A CV through the door at this time might be useful. If you are going for legal check out the law society website, find out what each firm specialise in (eg civil, conveyancing, private practise) and check on teh firm's website (if they have one) to find out who the partership secretary is - alternatively if you cannot find out then just address your letter to the partnership Secretary. Other people will hopefully help if you are looking at "their" field?
  • i have hit a stage now where once again i dont know what to do and sometimes i think it would be easier to just stay put. My dream jobs are as follows... care assistant for the elderly, administrator and legal work. Now this is where i become stuck, i have found a domestics job and am going to apply for that, if i get it i will need to attend college to recive an nvq. But if i dont get it what do i do? I have spoken with one of you lovely people and i have found a course that will give me the knowledge to get a job in health and social care which i can do along side my main job now untill june in which time i should have found a care job. Or do i tweak my cv and do a mass mail drop (as peb has said) and target lawyer firms etc etc in which to find an admin job

I am really confussed, and i think if i take the wrong choice i will upset many on here and in real life. I am really tempted to do the care course as i love to work with older people, but what does everyone think. I have been on the ou and completed a free taster course thing this morning and it looks really interesting... but what do i do :o Does anyone ever know what they want to do in life or do you all just go with the flow?

My head is filled with lots of 'stuff' and i am worried i will take the wrong choice and be 'stuck' I also feel this is a huge desicion for someone of my age and my knowledge of work, after all i have only ever done 2 jobs. In all fairness all i really want is a job where i can go to work and be happy in. That will allow me to pay my bills and save while having a small budget to myself...

I bet you are all fed up of me by now... so please feel free to let this thread die... i guess i just have to do some soul searching and find a job thats really what i want to do... thanks again for helping me become debt free once more expressions6.gif
