yep elantan its me, i do feel much better about myself, much more positive... i still have a long way to go but i only get one chance at life, this isnt a practice
i have booked my test it was £48.50  but it will be a one off unless i fail, this leaves me once all my bills are payed just over £300.00, i am hoping to spend about £100.00 on holiday and then put the remainder into my moving out fund... i still dont know what to do about the car/moving out thing but i have untill after june to decide :T
i am suppose to be doing loads but :shhh: my sister is coming up later to chop all my hair off (hopefully) so i will give her £5 from my piggy bank for that :)then i have loads more to do, never mind though, its sunday0 -
Pap. Congratulations on all three things, paying off your debt, being ready for your driving lesson, and saying no to your mum . I think if you havent already, as I havent checked it, you should go onto the debtfree roll of honour thread and post. If you do this then you will feel dutybound not to go into debt again. I am delighted for you. Your life is on the way up.
and I am so pleased.
Now you are free to start saving. You can save up to move out first and then when you are in your flat, you can start saving up for all the other things you want, car, college etc. I think you will have spare money as you can get the housing allowance and you wont be funding your family.
I wish you a lovely holiday and hope the weather stays nice. I also wish you very good luck with your driving test. How does it feel to be debtfree? Good, I bet. Auntie tes is happy that Pap is happy and doing well. I'll talk to you soon I hope but take care and dont overspend on your mum on holiday.
By the way, yes you did do amazingly well with your GCSEs. I know how hard it is because I work in a troubled school (Im not a teacher, but I do know exactly how hard it is to work in such an environment). With a different background you would probably be a top university student but at least you are doing the very best for yourself that you can now. Lots of love, tesxxxxThe forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
thanks tes, i think i will wait for all my payments to clear then i will post on the roll of honour again  oh and it feels fab to be debt free, it just feels really nice that next payday all of my wage is mine
awww thanks, i know its only small steps but i will get there, oh and i am hoping not to overspend on holiday, i ahve a budget and hopefully i can stick inside it
yep it took a lot of work but i got there, and i was so proud of myself
anyways off to do some more work
take care tes0 -
Hi Pap!
Just a wee note to say hope you enjoy your holiday after reading your diary you defo deserve it! Look forward to hearing about it when ya get bac! C x0 -
Well done PAP, and how exciting about your driving test - stay calm and don't panic about it, you CAN do it. Even if you don't pass first time, you know you are now at a standard where you are ready to take your test, so it's all just down to holding your nerve and a little bit of luck now.
Have a lovely holiday, don't spend too much (at least if your Mum asks for money now, you can say 'I haven't got any spare - I've just booked my driving test, sorry'), and definitely post on the roll of honour when you get chance - your story is such an inspiration."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
