Pap, hoping the overtime is not too miserable when you could be out in this lovely weather!

I'll add to the 'no' pile on whether to give your mum the money... she will not learn until she sees consequences and if the consequence of her not budgetting is having no treat money on holiday, so be it!

I can recommend CSV too, I didn't end up being placed with them but they were very friendly throughout the application/interview and you don't need any qualifications at all. I would say, though, that if you want to do it the sooner the better because it can take a while to complete the process, get placed etc. You don't have to commit to anything at all and it doesn't cost anything to apply :D

Take care and have a fab holiday!! :T

  • hi all, sorry overtime and i wish i never did it... but hey thats another story :rotfl:

umm thanks all of you for your kind words about my grades, i did work very very hard for them and when 75% of the class doesnt want to learn it was very hard :) i think i will look into the living in thing, i nearly walked out of work today, i was soo angry, i am really fed up there now :( i think i need another job asap

umm ras, i want to do the gcse because of personal reasons too, i did a Key Skill Level 2 - Application of Number while at college (i trained in animal care) so technically i have the qualification but i want to do this for me :) i have looked at health and social care as a open uni course too... i just want something better with my life...

Emmzi thanks i will look into that too :) i know i am a little old now but you are never too old to learn and i am not doing this for life... no way just a lot of planning and looking around...

tes, tes, tes hug8ok.gif yes i did pay for the holiday £116.00 and no doubt i will pay entry to everything and petrol/food....

Oberon its nearly all gone now £45 left :T yes it was a mistake but we all have our slip ups...

kath... thanks i will look into csv and hopefully i can get somewhere...

oh and the question you have all been wondering... i am saying no :T , she hasnt asked me since but when she does it will be a no, i agree if i start saying yes now i will be back to square one and seeing as i payed for the holiday and everything i dont think i should help her out with spending cash too

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Well done on making a difficult decision PAP, I really do think it's the right one for both you and your Mum - when you move out, she will HAVE to plan ahead for things and realise she can't just ask you for money, so it's a good idea to put the ground work in now, so to speak.

Have a fab holiday by the way!!

  • thanks snaggles, i have just had my driving lesson and he wants me to book a test :T once the test is done i will then be able to moveout as i will be spending less each month :T although i have seen a car, but i do feel moving out would benifit me more, although i could prob get a better job if i had a car  anyways we will cross that bridge as and when :) last day before holiday here and i have done only a little of what i need to, but i dont mind, the sun is shinning and i have peace in the house untill mum gets home :T
