  • right budget time and i am quietly very pleased :rotfl: seeing as i now have no debt etc its looking good ;)

    £65.00 ~ BT
    £11.00 ~ house insurance
    £50.00 ~ bus cards
    £25.00 ~ Halifax ~ web saver
    £20.00 ~ Sarah’s cards, monthly scrap
    £30.00 ~ weekly spends
    £80.00 ~ Darren birthday gift from last month, may not need till next payday
    £5.28 ~ Lloyds chemist today. I do have the money in my purse but i will put that into my sealed pots.

    Total = £286.28

    In account = 505.96
    Left = £219.68 :j

    Thats should all make its way to my savings account but i am leaving it in my current account for the mean time and will transfer it over on the 1st. There is nothing i need/want at all, i can honestly say that. I will however be buying a chinese on saturday (if i am better) so i guess that will be £10 although i will make it strech to a few meals :rotfl:

    The car thing i am still unsure about. I honestly dont know what to do regarding that. I am sure however something will make my mind up about that but we shall see.

  • Hi pap! :) Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, hope it clears up soon. I get to spend a lot of time reading MSE while I feed Elliot but the keyboard is always trapped underneath him so nevre get to join in with anything! But just wanted to add to the chorus of 'you are FAR from alone' :grouphug:

  • right decisions decisions...

    ~~~~~~
    i have decided i am not buying a car. But i will leave my o/d on the other account its there if in 3 months time i decide i do want one. I am strict enough not to use it unless i am in dire strats which i cant imagine being a super budgetter and all :rotfl: But we shall see how it goes but i want your advice please... to be put on my mums insurnace i think its about £60 per month. What do you think? shall i do it so i can keep toped up or shall i just not worry? my monthly budget will then look something like this ~
    £100.00 ~ mum/rent
    £65.00 ~ BT
    £11.00 ~ house insurance
    £50.00 ~ bus cards
    £25.00 ~ Halifax ~ locked
    £25.00 ~ Halifax ~ web saver
    £20.00 ~ Sarah’s cards, monthly scrap
    £50.00 ~ weekly spends
    £60.00 ~ insurance
    total = £406.00 leaving approx £354 to save per month?
    so what do you think?
    ~~~~~~

    Right next decision. Its our (mum and mine) annual holiday in may. It all started when we did the sun paper holiday. Up untill then i had never been away with my mother since i was 7. I had however been away with scouts etc etc. When we went away on the sun holiday everything was split evenly then we went away last may to a haven holiday (same people as the sun one) and again split down the middle. Now this year we would like to go to cornwall and it will be split again... however this is where i have to make my mind up. Mum has always wanted to go to the isle of wight. Now its the same cost (if we go to a caravan site as haven) or its a little dearer if you are talking hotels. But i want to keep it a suprise ish ~ how can i do this? Also would you stick to what you know or do something different?

    Also the other decision is haven i can go through quidco and this site i cant. And do i book it now with the £200 i have spare now (thats how much either/or for the caravan sites) and then mum will pay me back next month or do i push that into my savings now and wait untill next payday where the haven holiday could be cheaper?

    grrr undecisive or what :rotfl:

    Sounds good so far.... What company is ur Mum with? Cuz Iknow that with Direct Line, u can still get the no claims bonus ever if ur on ur Mum's policy. Even if shes not with DL, it might be worth checking with whatever compnay she is with...... If u can afford to pay the £60, I think it'd be worth itjust to keep the driving 'fresh' with you.....
