Balance is hard, it comes eventually. You don't have to feel guilty you have different circumstances.
Saving 10% of your income at in your 20s makes you a heck of a lot better off than most people in this country!
well this is it, the whole balance thing. I know i have different circumstances and a different out look on life than others but i think i will be forever a dfw and i guess this is where i found my guilt. Dont get me wrong i am glad i am not skint after payday (unlike some other i know) but sometimes i just wish i didnt ahve to question everything i do with money. The whole savings thing i find great, not only that but i have a pension :rotfl:only another 44 years till i retire . I must add though i love having these mini splurges. At least now i have the cash and can afford it, whereas when i started this thread i was splurging on credit cards and o/d's. I guess a mini blow out like this isnt as bad as if i just went to argos and spent my whole allowance in something like a lcd tv :rotfl:0 -
Exactly - you're organised and allowed to splurge from time to time. I need to get my head around this too. I still have £480 to spend at AmazonNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Pap,
don't feel guilty for your mini splurge..... think of the damage the two of us could have done last weekend! I know what u mean about questioning everythin u buy....... 'shall I buy these sleeping bags for DS, they will last him the next three years? Or shall I not? Or shall I? Or shal I not?'.....
AND u've countered it by puting £100 into ur locked savings
Ur so organised with ur budget that u deserve a treat..... and in the long term, I bet u use some of that stuff to make money anyway!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -

I loved you last weekend... i was tempted to just buy them for you! it was so comical to watch though hehe. As for the making money thing yes i will hopefully although my production has slowed down this week due to finishing this book for mse. As for my locked savings i am really pleased with that because i only have another £2,160 to go and its not even the end of january
