  • thanks all, i hoped you were going to say that... i have talked myself out of it all day :o but i thought i should get better advice... i really do like them however they way they work is back to front, only 2 months ago did the mother spend over £200 on the daughter :confused: anyways who and i to judge :confused:

    the dragon ~ i have no idea :confused: she tells me snippets... she is semi retireing next month so her wages will drop and she will have pension money :confused: again i dont know all of it. The daughter cant do many hours due to ill health... its hard very hard

    You sound so like me, I'd give anyone my last fiver, which is unfortunately the reason for part of my debt.

    You are caring and giving, but you have to look after yourself hun.

    It sounds as though we all think a large dose of "tough love" is called for in this case PAP!

    @ Dragon: You can work and get DLA, usually the lower rates. It depends on the level of care you need, not how severe the disability is.

    @ Pap: Sorry for hijacking. I'd go for E too, offer support with their financal organising etc. if they want it but don't offer money or help directly. You'll get trapped by them relying on it.

    well another one of her presents made and in the mean time i poured water all over my keyboard :mad: anyways just waiting on one thing and thats completed (pics on another thread if anyone wants a gander) one more handmade item to go and 2 weeks left :rolleyes:

    Just popped in for a minute - hope you are ok and keeping well.
    Missing you loads but hope to back fulltime :rotfl: soon. Got to go in a minute to bath baby, well, not really a bath as she will only stand up in it :rotfl: but she'll be clean none the less.

    Dragon~someone can get DLA & work.
    As you know it is awarded because of the effect of illness/disability.
    There is nothing in rules to say someone cannot work & claim DLA.
