I could have said that about any number of my friends and I heard this analogy once that really stuck, from my GP no less. Everytime you have a problem or a niggle, it's a monkey on your shoulder. If you have too many monkeys then it gets hard to walk(cope). But if you share your monkey with a friend and they share a monkey with you then you're both carrying its weight so it's lighter.
If all your friends are takers and only give you monkeys, then you'll fall.

Not sure if that makes any sense to you but it did to me :) I've now cut all those draining people out of my life, I really don't need it. I like the two-way friendships so much more

I so agree (sorry to just jump in unannounced!) Gemmzie...

Don't let those monkeys drag you down PAP, you are stronger and wiser than all the monkeys put together!

You've been doing so well lately, and I hope it continues for a very long time yet! You're really starting to come into your own, and like we said the other day, sometimes you wanna tell the world to stop, and let you off, but we're still young, still learning, and still growing... just dont let anyone else take any of that away from you...

P.S If that train goes anywhere near East Kent, theres always a room for you here hun xx

  • awww gem i understand... and thanks as well to cafc girl. I seem to be more stronger now a days... no more walking over superpap :rotfl:

just had a driving lesson and i am :j and  :rotfl: nah its great i can reverse around a corner when a driving instructor gives me referance points  i now understand what i can do as i can see/understand where the car is going rather than driving around a corner effectively blind. I dont know if this is the hunnymoon period with this instructor however i am 99% sure this will be my last and it will result in a pass :T howver i am also a little mad at a few things really basically he lives in wales and he stays in wales on a tuesday and teaches solely there. But beacuse i am at college tuesday thats my only day off, then the remainder of my rota is all over the place so in order to him to get 'paid' for coming to bristol i would need to have a double 2 hour lesson... now thats perfecty fine with me as i want to have proper lesson and be taught to drive not to pass a stupid test...

but that means from now on in i will be spending a lot more than usuall  but can you put a value on saftey  so for the next few months i am cancelling any direct debits to my savings account :o yes it sounds drastic but 1) i am 1/2 way to my goal 2) i can always push any money not spent on driving into my savings 3) i will get that pink licence 4) i will prob not be going on holiday now in may 5) it still means i can have a little bit of a rest from savings ~ in october its my best friends mum 60th and we are supposed to be going for a meal well technically i wouldnt have been able to as i have no money :o 6) i can pay my driving lessons up front for the month and not worry about trips to the bank when (like this week) today is my first day off in a week

now i know some may see this as a step back but i am happy about this. Anywyas thats a long ramble for today... but i can reverse around a corner :j

Hey PAP, that's what I thought come the end, stop worrying about the financial and just do it, whatever it's crunch time. Hope it works for you too! (I got 2 minors too ;))
