:T ill do gem however i have had a big arguement tonight (mainly from my side) and basically i said i will not book the holiday for may with my mother before they both pay something... she didnt answer but as she spends money like water i guess its off or a very late deal because i cant be bothered balancing it anymore... i seem to be putting in all the effort with none coming from them both  i check each day for how much the deposits are and its £400 now well i am not risking £400 of my hard earned cash to blow on a holiday they may not pay for  grrr i have had enough again... i am always low after a 'high' week k1ocray.gif

Better to feel slightly down now rather than paying out your hard earned pennies to discover they cannot afford to pay for their "bit" and they are hoping you will help them out!

i dont want all the garbage thrown at me... ie im selfish, lazy... i am telling her though but it will prob be tommorow in the car to work cant tell her tonight as her oh is here and he will kick off. I cant go on holiday twice next year and pay for my ou course  Oh and i am also putting my foot down about the BT phone bill she can have it in her name as of monday... i will give her the £23 for my internet and she can find the remainder. It will mean i have to give her £30 of her house keeping each month but then she can be the one that owes debt to them not me... i am a single 20 something i shouldnt be dealing with household crap... ok maybe i should rephrase that i am a single 20 something and i dont want to be dealing with household bills...

I so could have said that sentence PAP, the one about getting away. Sleep on it and then talk to her as you wouldn't want to do it in haste.

But don't talk yourself out of the the "don't want" feeling. You've admitted it to yourself so speak to your mum as a 20 something adult, and if she kicks off then, well you've done everything you can to soften the blow.

    Hope that makes sense

  • Pap you are not lazy and you are far from selfish! I'm sure - well I hope - that you know that yourself but please don't let anyone tell you that you are. I've been reading your thread for a fair while now and I'm constantly impressed with everything you juggle, all whilst living at home when actually, no, you shouldn't really be burdened with bills and household crap - but you take it all on and you don't complain - you vent a bit and let off steam like anyone human would but you carry on regardless - you're such an inspiration and you're so modest with it, never once have I read you bragging or boasting about all that you do - seriously Pap you're fab!

    Couldn't agree more !!!
Superpap - your new found confidence is beginning to show:D :D a few months ago you would have just paid up and booked the holiday even though you didn't feel like it. :T :T Well done you for sticking up for yourself, I've told you before you are a special kind of person and definately not lazy or selfish.
Either tell them you are not going at all - can't afford it, or suggest you all book separately and pay your own deposits - you don't need to book as a group - you want a single room anyway - there is no incentive for you to book together.
Why not just go on hols with your mate and have a great time. Let mum and bf sort themselves out - bet they never get there without you!

  • huge thanks all, i really dont know why i let them get to me  anyways we havent spoken about the holiday since however i keep hinting that i cant afford both holidays and the ou course ;) we shall see

feeling a little more upbeat today, i really dont know why i take everyones words to heart to be honest (i mean work/home), its one of those things that i need to overcome  as fac says i seem to take on everyones problems/worrys and then bottle it all up and file it in my head however people dont think of little old me, i spoke to my friend online tonight (met on another forum) not once did she say how are you? she rambled on for 20min without a word to ask how i am feeling   i like being able to come on here and let all my problems out, even if i dont get a response at least i can get some of it out of my head so i can sleep :rotfl: if i didnt have this diary i would have went mad ages ago :rotfl:

beanie ~ Do you work beside your mum BTW? do you mean in the same workplace? no we work seperatly.

    right a little ramble ~

i am xmas shopping :j decided to transfer some of my savings out and get serious with shopping... however they are nearly done, i cant be bothered thinking of things to buy for the people that never speak to me however expect a prezzie, so all of those are getting vouchers however i want to get them for our local mall however they have a 6 month date on them so it looks like queueing for them like last year

anyways brothers done, sisters done, brother in law done, mums oh done... leaving mum (know what i am buying), my best friend, her mum and work  now i am stuck on my best friend...

Decided ~ cherry/berry hamper for xmas :j and if i win it the betty boop weekend bag and £100 off the holiday :j woohoo, hope she likes it :D
