Stuff "people" - what do you think?
what do i think, really and truthfully?.... yes i want a car, i dont want to think after 2 years, 2 months off work, over £3,000 spent on lessons have been thrown away... however there is a battle going on daily about this, between my head and heart and i cant seem to find an answerthe positves outweigh the negative but there is still 'something' that i cant put my finger on, although i have a feeling i know what it is and i just feel it would be easier if i just use it as another thing 'ticked off the life list'

Its a difficult one. Have a long think about it and decide what you want. You will work out a solution if you think about it. There is always a way.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

5~ well there is a choice of 3, i heve chosen the cheapst. The problem is not many hotels that offer all inclusive offer single room and there is no way i am sharinga room with my mother and her oh. She hasnt got an credit card, the one she had i am stilll paying trough my bank (£100 rent) on her behalf. She wants to take me abroad so the sun holiday is out of the question... well techically the £200 is part of my payment for the holiday is £466 each so then i would only need to pay £266 before may. Then my mum and her oh are paying tehre parts however they have £200 worth of vouchers to redeem to. I don't really understand this bit.... how can ur mum say she wants to take you abroad when u appear to be paying for itI think what Tes has said is a good idea, if ur mum/oh pay you monthly until closer to the time, at least then u will not have to fork out ur own money for it, in the 'hope' that ur mum is going to pay you back.
6~ the problem is i am a walk over, my second name is door mat, even in work they know i will miss out to help everyone else, sadly is another faluire with me... one day This is definately NOT TRUE!!!! Take a look back thru ur thread and see how far ur relationship has come ref ur mum/money.
7~ i dont know what i am saving now though? i dont know what i want? yes a car in the short term and more towards my pension... i wanted to get to the 3* your wages this month... not now Why do you need to save for anything in particular? Tes's idea about thinking of ur saving as a loan is great, pretend its not there!
Since my LBM I am obsessed with watching my savings account grow, and it is gonna kill me to have to withdraw it to pay my CC off - altho I will LOVE the look of a £0 balance on my CC :T
Hi PAP, just been catching up with the last few days posts on ur thread, and stumbled upon this one.... please forgive me if it appears critical, as it's definately not how its meant.....
I must say, I am completely in awe of you..... not only have you got urself out of debt twice, but you are determined to save as well - I would love to have the dilemma ur facing atm! In fact, I think u should pop on round to my house and sort my budgets out!
Re the car, u should be buying it for YOU, not PEOPLE.... Remember PAP, be strong, u have proved to urself in the past that u can. U are a wonderful person, so selfless, but sometimes u have to remeber to look out for you first, then others.
Take care

sorry all i am reading another diary
this site is addictive :rotfl:
tes, my head say yes, in the long run i will be spending an extra £80 on top of my £48 for bus fares but it will give me freedom. My heart says no as i know it wont be good enough for my sister as her stuff is always better, more expensive etc etc if i was truthfull i want to save for one of my 'dream' cars... ranging from 3k ~ 9k
sarah... criticals goodi am now tempted to say that about the holiday, you know hint that maybe we should get a late deal.. and that if i save we could get a holiday for 1/2 the price if they save first then maybe we can do that? even if i open a building society account (which i cant access as i am always in work and its a branch bank thing) and chuck everyones savings in that?
as for your coments regarding my budgetting etc<~ happy cry, i know tess always mentions that i am good with money but i dont see it as i have been doing it for years... at last i am good at something :T
thanks
right i am in desision mode and i am going to look at all my accounts etc etc and see what i am saving into each pot and time scales... i am only 21, the way i am taking regarding pensions etc anyone wiuld think i was 59 :rotfl: i will be back with some decisions0 -

gem i dont know about that card? is it a credit card? i dont really want another credit card as i am scared i will go on a spree like i did in january... i am even scared about getting this one for mu furniture
It's kind of a credit card but not really, more like a charge card with an added saver.
It's a much lower rate than a regular card if you are overdrawn, it's a Mastercard so you get better protection on purchases than a debit card. If it's in a plus then you get 4.22% interest plus 0.5% cashback.
I stick all my spending money on there and then I'm not tempted to overspend as I know it'll cost me interest and if I under spend, I get a nice bit of interest on it.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
