AF finally arrived, 12 days late:(. I'm ok with it, just was really emotional the past couple of days but all is good, I feel much better. I have a dr appointment at the weekend and also a lovely massage booked for Sunday. I will go swimming tmrw and over the weekend too, I really need to concentrate on the weight loss as we are off to see OH's family in April and they are very judgemental! So 1lb a week from now on is the aim!
Money wise I overpayed the loan by £1700 yesterday so Lloyds is under £10k finally. I really hope we can manage to pay it off by June. I am thinking about selling my wellies and rain coat but not sure whether it's worth it? The wellies are a size bigger than they should be and not very comfy walking in them but than I would need to buy new ones. I might just try to get some insoles to see whether they help.0 -
Can I just scream a little bit??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Our tenant has just given notice and is moving out in a week time. Thankfully he still has to pay till the 20st of Feb but still, problems already. I need to find new tenants now and sort out electricity and gas certificate, install fire alarm, etc. Oh dear:(. Well, lots to do but I guess I just have to get on with it.
So to do list:
x advertise flat
x ask for quote for certificate
x ask mum to find information about flats
x ask developer for documents
x send bills to Hungary
x get travel insurance for parents
x contact hungarian insurance company
x develop pictures
x download phone pictures
x get new memory card0 -
Scream as much as you want!
That's a bit frustrating about the flat, I hope you get a new tenant soon. Well done on the sales and overpayment though!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -

Good news, I don't need the electricity certificate as I got one when I bought the flats and they are valid for 10 years:T. Very pleased with that. I also put ads on the internet and someone is viewing the flat on Saturday, let's hope that it picks up and more people will be interested. Debating whether to paint the flat or not, I know we should but organizing it is a bit of a pain. I might ask potential tenants how they feel about it.
I have £120 in my account so hopefully I won't need to buy anything till payday. OH most likely does overtime on Wednesday but it hasn't been confirmed yet. He still doesn't feel well and worries about the operation a lot, I made an appointment for him with the gp so he can talk through it.
To do list for this week:
x sort out finally flat insurances, call company if no one gets back to me by Thurs
x post bills
x travel insurance
x blood test
x tax form 1, tax form 20 -
Morning,
It's Friday.
cD8 and still bleeding. I got high fertility on CBFM so BD is due in this household tonight. Let's just hope OH is on board.
I need to submit my overtime hours today, and also make a plan about money and do an overpayment. OH got some money in as well which will go on bank account tmrw. And my LB owns me appr £300 so hoping he will give it back over the weekend.
Not much is happening otherwise, 5 people are viewing the flat tmrw, one is very keen and prepare to pay the deposit straight away. We shall see, just hoping it will be ok, I don't want this stress in my life.
Open University course starts this weekend which reminds me to sort out the refund they promised but never got.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Viewing went well today, 4 people said they wanted the flat. Some thinking needs to be done today and will give answer tomorrow.
Oh brought in £340 extra which is brilliant and I'm due to be paid this weekend as well. Hopefully we can make an overpayment on Monday.
CD9 today, still bleeding:(0 -
£1000 overpayment to Lloyds.0
-
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
I made an overpayment to Lloyds so balance is under £9000. All the bills are going out this week so will have a better overview of the account, at the moment there is quite a lot of money there. Well not for long though:).
The new tenant is sending us half the deposit for the flat and we are signing the contract over the weekend. This means that we are not out of money at all, and the changeover went smoothly. The flat needs to be painted and the new tenant said they would do it at spring time so all is good. I will need to check the bills this week and send back the deposit to previous tenant once it's cleared.
OH is having is op tmrw, he is very stressed, understandably. I just want it to be over and him making a recovery ASAP.
To do list for the week:
x check water bill
x check electricity bill
x check gas bill
x ask mum to scan bills
x fill in permission papers to new tenant and post them back home
x call insurance company and finally sort out flat insurances
x do electricity and gas reading for Npower
x check bank account balance and see whether deposit arrived
x send mum contract to print it out
x post letters to Hungary and Lovefilm
x buy bread
x go swimming
x call dr re blood test
x find swimming costume and order it
x start working on assignment
The list is massive, I have plenty to do, no lunchbreak for me I guess.0 -
Glad you got a new tenant, hope your OH's op goes well tomorrow."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

Operation went well, he was at home yesterday after 1 in the afternoon. He is of course suffering now but all is good and hopefully will make a full recovery.
I just checked things for the flat (bills, etc) and all is good so I'm one happy landlady. Now just need to give them the keys and all sorted. Phew, that was an easy one.
Bills are going out tomorrow but as I made the overpayment on Sunday, all is where it should be. I need to check the interest on the loan but there is nothing I can do about it. No more extra money expected this month so just need to make a calculation with our salaries and see how much we can overpay.
Still high on CBFM, not sure when it will be peak:(. Can't wait!0
