Another £700 overpayment made towards Lloyds, I'm officially done for 2011. Let's hope that 2012 will be as good as 2012.
I ordered goddaughter's present yesterday and arrived it already today, very pleased with that. Now just need to post it...
I will be back tonight as I'm babysitting, long update will follow.0 -
Happy and successful debtbusting New Year Everyone! I can't believe it's the end of the year and that I have so much to look forward to in 2012.:j
I have achieved quite a lot in 2011:
x paid back mortgage on family house and became debt free in the UK (well, not for long)
x have an amazing fiance who supports me:happylove
x got promoted at work though the extra responsibility came with it
x saw some amazing place (Tenerife, Berlin, Vienna, Greece, Lanzarote), all on budget, therefore crossing some of the things which were on my To do list before turning 40
x had a new nephew born
x started to TTC
x had a couple of professional massages, they were lovely
And what I didn't achieve and need to sort out in 2012:
x put on weight. I need to lose realistically a stone but half would be a great start first!
x had a miscarriage
What I am planning to do and achieve in 2012:
x pay back Hungarian mortgages (hopefully this will be done on the 3rd January)
x pay back loan in UK, currently stands around £30k with interest
x have a baby
x lose weight, half a stone in the next 5-6 weeks
x keep in touch with friends and family better than in 2011
x go on 2 holidays (one booked!)
x see 2 musicals
x think about a business I can set up (I'm good at doing things but thinking about them is another issue)
x stay fit and healthy
Well, that's about it, hoping that 2012 will be exciting, new and debt free!0 -

Happy New Year Kavics
I hope 2012 is a good one for you and you manage to accomplish your wish list especially the baby part x0 -
Thanks Lam, I trully hope we achieve the baby part at least if nothing else!
I'm appr. 6 days away from my period, way too early to test and I'm determined that this month I won't touch the pregnancy test till at least Sunday. Really hope I will be strong enough.
Today is a big day, my mum is going to the bank and paying our mortgage off!!! I'm so excited and nervous, you never know what can go wrong in Hungary but I'm hoping that all will be good and we can open a bottle of champaigne today. I know that realistically we haven't paid that mortgage off yet as we have the loans here instead but being debt free there is a huge thing! Just keeping my fingers cross that all will be good and I receive that important text message later this morning.
I had a bit of money worries this morning but realized that one cheque hasn't cleared yet so there will be money coming in.
To do list:
x call roberts re remote control
x overpay Lloyds
x post L's present
x post OH cc application
x call gp re blood test
x order contact lenses
x buy bday cards
x sort out parents' travel insurance
This should keep me occupied lunch time...0 -

Did really well yesterday, but I haven't even looked into the travel insurance yet. That's for today I guess.
WE are now officially debt free in Hungary, my mum paid off the loan!!!:T:T So happy, was really nervous before and apparently the bank wasn't very helpful but after 3 hours she managed it.
It's such a relief!
As for the bank balance today, it's all good. I made the overpayment yesterday, paid money into the bank, etc. Let's hope that January won't be too expensive.
We have ordered though a couple of things which are necessary such as kettle, arial, personalized calendar for my mum and OH's mum (they were both on sale), memory card, contact lenses, etc. But no need for anything else.0 -
Congratulations on paying off the Hungarian loan :T:T:T"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

The week is over!!! We are off to the cinema probably tmrw, got a voucher ages ago and it will expire next week so must use it. Though have quite a lot to do as well:
x book cinema tickets
x order theatre tickets
x look into house insurance
x look into contents insurance
x do shopping
x cleaning
x change bed
x look into will. Again.
x sort out parents travel insurance0 -
So no cinema this weekend, I'm not feeling well. OH finally sold his bike, so an extra £75 will go on my account on Mon and will use it later this month to overpay the loan. I really want to finish paying back Lloyds by June and than we can concentrate on Sainsburys. OH is having an op in January so not sure how that affects his Feb salary. Let's hope he gets paid full.0
