My Mum got her's today, she said it was very battered :( I need to get her something nice to make up for it. MIL still hasn't got her plant. Glad other people had success, won't be using them again.
  • I have had the last of my orders through and the house looks lovely! :D

My 2 Hibiscus look lovely - lots of deep red buds :D

Although my mini princettias on first order arrived ok, the leaves are yellowing and falling off, so I rang customer services to ask what to do to stop it but they apologised and said it may have been left in cold and have sent me a replacement which seems a bit dry and some dried leaves fallen off. I have watered and hoping it survives.

Of 4 larger Princettias ordered, seemed ok at first but then noticed that 2 of them were drying up and limp, had a closer look and the stems were broken! The delivery driver did throw them into my porch, despite the label stating live plants, keep upright etc.

Anyway, these have been replaced but as T&M have run out of Princettias they sent some red Anthuriums instead. They are all very pretty and although you can buy slightly taller normal poinsettia plants from Sainsburys for £4.50, they are worth the £5 IMO as they are a bit different and this price includes delivery and no quibble refund/replacement in case of arriving in a bad condition. :T

Not keen on the plastic outer pot on the poinsettias though - I appreciate they can't send a proper pot as would be too expensive but prefer the gift bags on the hibiscus to the plastic tat.

I have used them in the past and will be using them again - I don't have a car at mo and having these delivered saved me a lot of time and hassle as well as having a good product. Would not have bought them at the original prices though, I would have put my own baskets of bulbs together, as in previous years, but at £5 each delivered, I think these are well worth it. :money:

  • Placed an order on the 19th, got a dispatch email yesterday (21st) got plant delivered this morning (22nd)!
Very unexpected. I had called up on friday asking about delivery times, but the lady wasnt v helpful except saying it takes a day to process the order and then its down to the nursery in jersey to sort out stock and then send the plants. So decided not bother ordering. Then on monday saw new lines and i thought what the heck, i can give them to neighbours and family so time scale can be more lax.
    So so far so good!
  • Just arrived (campanula). Didn't look great but mainly, I think, because delivery lad was holding package sideways despite clear labelling on the box.
Result: plant covered in compost. Also very dry, but I gave it a quick soak and tidy up: should revive and shine in a couple of days. Hopefully.

Nice box and shiny tin pot, and the arrangement looks swish like a tiny christmas tree in snow. Thanks to OP for a great deal :rudolf:
  • I ordered 2 Anthurium Mini Bouquet pots on Monday and have just had an email to say they were dispatched today, it says 5 days for delivery but am not overly worried, one is for me the other for my elderly aunt, be a nice surprise for her in the new year. xx

Keep it cool (not cold, but def not next to a radiator), don't overwater, but give it a drink following its trip in the post to you. They're not meant to flower for a few weeks, but they'll look fab when they do. :)

Oh - and if it had green foliage sitting on the top of the soil, leave it there! It's to provide goodness to the bulbs. :)

There is green foliage. Some of it is brown though. Should I remove the brown bits?

all but one of ordered plants arrive and all of them lovely , think royal mail treatment of them in transit has a lot to do with how they end up and how cold or dry they get.
Thank you to all the money savers:beer: for all the wisdom, companionship, bargains, competitions and ideas:T you have made a transformation to our household, Thank you, it would have been so much harder without you and together we are amazing :A:smileyhea

I got an email about 11.30pm last night saying they had been despatched and would take up to 5 days, but my mum got hers this morning. I'm really pleased because she is not very well.
  • Hopefully mine will turn up soon, hope your mum feels better soon xx
  • Well fortunately I decided to have all 5 of my plants sent to me for distribution. ALL the hyacinths are in intensive care right now as they are VERY small and showing very little sign of life.I am hoping though with a lot of TLC (which means I need to buy alternative presents for people) I may have some lovely blooms at some point.
The pink Pincetta? (sp?) was small, cramped and in a giant ,plastic version of a Starbucks/Costa etc paper cup.
No my greatest baragain by a long shot and would never use them to send a gift to anyone......
