  • thanks, this is the first time I've joined a challenge, although I've been looking at advice for ages.

I'm expecting baby number 4, a surprise addition to our family, in a matter of weeks and have just started my mat leave so I could do with a challenge to keep my brain going and a focus on gaining a little extra. So far I've managed to gain £112.38 worth of cash, vouchers, freebies and product tests, this is including a cot bed I needed but got off a very kind freecycler worth £74.99. Oh and a couple of wins on the Euro Millions National Lottery Game, not the amount that I'd quite hoped for (I would be very very happy with £300,000 but...) I won £4.70 then £4.90 the next week so it's definately better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! So that makes me just under £1900 off the targetted £2012 :)

  • Lovely reading everyones efforts!

Im feeling a bit behind and waiting for cash to appear! Waiting for MS payments, extra shifts at work. Have a gorgeous pile of items in bedroom all for selling which have taken up my time having a good clear out!

I entered a few competitions at Christmas when had the time and have won an I pod touch! cant wait to get it and sell it as have an I phone so dont need it! That really made me smile and will help my money challenge!!

Keep up the good work Im inspired!
  • OMG this month just gets better and better!!!! My business partner has just surprised me with a bonus dividend of £400 :j:jwe do get these from time to time but I just put them in my purse and waste them. Well no more, I am going to go to the bank tonight and deposit it immediately into the savings account so that there is no temptation of spending it so so far this month I am now up to ....
    £897.25

Plus got Ebay items finishing before the end of the month, going to put another 31 items on tonight so that will take me to the full 100 items before the end of January so I can start afresh in February with another 100 items (I am in the process of a huge declutter of the house so dont want to dump all this stuff in the loft to be forgotten about, as when the house is decluttered I then have to start on the loft which is full to bursting, in fact my daughter's bedroom ceiling has come away at the edge from the weight of the stuff up there :eek:so I do need to get onto that this year) I also ordered my new phone on Tuesday and my business partner has hopefully got a seller for mine which will be another £250 but will not include that until I get it which will probably be February now.

I am sooooo excited, I really want to have a last push to see if I can get the total over £1,000 before the end of January. I know this has been a good month, but I know I will slow down after February. :D:D

  • If I did get to the £2012 early will I still be welcome here :( I just dont want to seem like you think I am smug because I have achieved this quite quickly, I know the next £1,000 will be a lot harder to achieve that the first half. I really do not want to join the other challenge the £12,000 in 2012 as I like you guys and I also think that challenge is too much for me to do and I will get lost along the way :o

Of course your welcome here! I am for one glad your doing so well. Everyone here is from different backgrounds all in different situations, all here trying to do the same thing. to me personally any savings are great, our aim is £2012... if you get to that by march or may then great.. carry on and do even better :D I think its fab your doing so well... i hope everyone gets above and beyond the target, but even if you don't reach the target just by having some extra money at the end of the year you successfully completed the challenge in my eyes :)

I hope everyone continues to share their success's throughout the year :D

Clipperty I only joined yesterday but you are more than welcome here! Please don't think you're being smug because that is simply not how it comes across at all. Keep going .... be interesting to see how it all works out for you :)
