It's purely by chance I found it to be honest and there really isn't much of it around. I got this through an old ad on a working from home website. There are other typing jobs around but you have to be so careful they're not scams - I lost £35 by sending my money off which guaranteed me work .... needless to say it didn't happen. NEVER go for anything where you have to send money up front - I've certainly learned that now!

If you can type and have transcription equipment your best bet is to google transcription agencies and have a go at a typing test with them. I tried outsec - they wanted me but you have to commit to 4 interrupted hours a day which I couldn't do but it may suit others. You could try peopleperhour/outsec too but then you're up against people who will work for peanuts per audio hour and it just wasn't viable for me.

    Good luck!

By the way, just joined a few survey companies and have earned, big drum roll please, the grand total of .50p!!!

  • Hi all,

Assuming I'm allowed to join this challenge, nearly a month late, would you let me include the cost of a cotbed that I would've bought anyway if I hadn't of got one given me off freecycle or is that taking it a little too far and cheating?

    Thanks, Ok

dont be silly, there is no cheating! :) there are no rules, and we all tackle it a lil differently.personally i would defo count the cotbed (well done btw!), i would think about the most i wouldve spent on it, and use that, but others may use how much that bed wouldve cost, its really up to you! the important thing is that we all save ourselves money, whether we have actual money, or virtual money (like me!), and it really doesnt matter whether we hit the £2012 target, you can choose half of that, a quarter, etc! good luck and welcome!

btw welcome all newbies and reformed lurkers!:rotfl:
