OH dogsat and 'babysat' yesterday for a friend we got 160 posh teabags - and an idea for our house which is even better so adding them to the list. Saved the price of a pair of boots (fingers crossed) as my dad has managed to mend my current ones, not adding the savings to the list though as I know its only tempoary :(
Nothing selling on ebay though, might need to go to the ebay forum for listing tips.

    Morning all!

Using my argoos voucher from consumer pulse (already counted) and nectarpoints to buy a new wok today, slightly annoyed that the one I wanted is no longer in the half price sale (wish I'd bought it fri now) but it'll still seem free. Claiming £9.99 for the nectarpoints. Oh, opened a savings account last wek and have transferred £28 over already. Off to look at the FB page now, hope I can join xxx

Well I just got £100 good will payment from my energy supplier (which I have just left) as they completely messed up my bills last year leaving me with two huge ones to pay in Dec and Jan.

Can I just say Mennie that this is thanks to you because on your spreadsheet it had a column for 'complaints' and if I'd not seen that I probably wouldn't have bothered. It took about 30 mins of research and email writing but well worth it!

    Hurrah!

Very excited, just found out that I've been accepted into pinecone! But had a bit of a downer, I couldn't get the reward for a survey I did : (

How do you guys get baby/dog/house sitting jobs? I'm a uni student so I don't have that many contacts outside other students and my uni so haven't been able to go through that route. Any suggestions?

(also well done to all of you for doing so well)

killerpeaty I put an ad on gumtree to get my babysitting jobs - one was a referral from someone who had found me on gumtree too, so once you've done it for one person, you may find that they pass your number on. It took a while before a got a response on gumtree, so you have to be patient, but I had 3 responses, so all's good now, as luckily all of the families have a lot of disposable income so can afford to go out regularly.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
