Hi all,
I was looking for some advice about shop and scan. I got the opportunity to sign up but wanted to know what other peoples experiences were first. It seems simple enough.
Also, I have finally managed to list some stuff on e*ay during the free listings weekend. I have a limit of 10 items this month as its the first time I have sold anything on there. There are a few bids and watchers on nearly all my items, so fingers crossed.:)
I've only just started but it seems easy enough. They send you the scanner along with a pack telling you everything you need to know. I recently scanned a shop of about £90 and it wasn't too bad, but if you get back from a stressful shopping trip with a lot more shopping it could be a drag having to then scan every item. I would recommend giving it a try, you can always cancel and send the kit back if it's not for you.Monthly Feb 2012 - £506.83 / 2012 Total - £2,220.56

Can I join in as well please, I have a newborn baby, so I need to start saving extra money to last my maternity leave.
I have already had 2 wins on a scratch card & lottery (£10 after initial cost) & found a pound whilst out walking. Also £3.68 paid from Topcashback :-)"£2012 in 2012 Challenge", £14.68/£2012":j0 -
Had the initial payment from Child Benefit :j£201.00 :j so that is nicely took up in my savings account. Taking off Ebay fees etc my total now stands at a whomping £494.54:jOMG can you tell I am excited!!!! Cannot believe it plus go another load of items which will finish before the end of January plus when I get paid which will be in January I need to put back £37.30 I 'borrowed' to make sure I did not get any bank charges for going overdrawn and I am going to add £50 also. At the end of the month I was going to buy a second freezer for the garage so that I can stockpile yellow stickered food and extras leftover from a meal, we already had an american fridge which the freezer section was so full of bargains we had to take the icebox section in to fit it all in, the freezer I had seen was £249 delivered as I wanted a tall one but managed to get one on Ebay in fantastic condition for £35!!! Well chuffed so will add £50 as part of the saving so without the rest of the Ebay sales, I am guaranteed to finish the month with at least £581.84 but I know it will definitely exceed £60 to be honest because of bids already got and items not yet paid for!!
Thank you so much for starting this thread as I would not of got off my !!!! to do Ebay this month, plus I would have just left the child benefit.
I have currently taken a voluntary paycut of £1000 per month (my business) just to get some extra cashflow, started this is August and should be the same for another few months. Anyway we have learnt to live without this extra £1000 so not missed and obviously just wasted in the past well not no more, got a mortgage statement yesterday and realised that we are paying nearly £5000 per year in interest alone so worked out that if I save this £1000 when it goes back up I can comfortably pay off my mortgage in 4 to 5 years  that would be 12 to 13 years early I would never even contempted this before finding this site, in fact would have just filed the statement away without even looking at it. I have never been so determined and motivated in my life.
Decluttered the bedroom at the weekend and hidden in the top of my wardrobe was an Amiga 1200 and a Nintendo Donkey Kong game which looking on Ebay should net me another £70ish Im on a roll!!!LBM - 3/12/11
