Just won two comps and sold a t-shirt on ebay so thats adding up the total quite nicely. Think Feb adn Mar are going to be quite sparse though as had a lot fo survey vouchers this month. Should get a Valued Op next month though. :)

    Evening all

You're all doing so well. :T

I've been looking at starting to do some surveys again - I didn't want to, as I find it really dull, but I'm struggling at the moment to see where I can make the extra pennies. I had a look at Ipsos and couldn't actually see where you sign up, the website seemed to be more aimed at people wishing to have reasearch conducted by them - do you have to be invited?

I'm also seeing if I can get back on Cosmetic Research/Clix list - I used to be on it years ago, but simply gave up as I was always being asked to update my profile yet never had a single thing to test. At the time I thought it was a bit of a scam, but reading on here it seems people test quite a few things.

I've just had my renewal quote for car insurance and tbh it's a lot less than I expected - I think the 5 yrs no claims bonus is beginning to pay off now. :)

I need to get winning some competitions - other than a free carton of Tropicana from FB, I'm not doing very well.

SpecialKthefirst do you get a lot of spam/junk from signing up to sites like that? I remember when I first had my daughter there seemed to be lots of sites that seemed to promise freebies for babies/new parents, but I read they were a waste of time as they only spammed you with tonnes of rubbish.

Been an expensive few days though. The tooth fairy has had to pay her very first visit (with another tooth looking like it's going to fall out any day now) and my middle daughter has her birthday on Thursday.

  • Hi everyone,

My savings have just gone up from £107 (which was the total I had got to from selling bits) to £567! reason being I have put away the council tax I would have paid out £153 (no Ctax Feb and Mar) and this month I end up with 2 lots of child benefit within a 'pay month' (this happens once a year as it's paid 4 weekly) so another £134 in the pot. We have also reduced our sky selection with a saving of £13 this month and £31 next month and thereafter. AND no more weekly takeaways so that's £60 in the pot :) Plus we are also putting £100 away to savings every month.
Next month should also be a good savings month with the extra Council Tax as well.

However, we do have the MOT to pay out and need an oil change etc so some of this may have to go towards that. And we do need to get a bed for my son in the next couple of months. But I've still got some bits to sell and we are tightening our belt in other areas so hopefully we can pay for some of the above from our main account.

Found 10p outside after I posted yesterday so roadkill = 15p now!

All 5 ebay sales paid for and packaged up and £18.83 profit so pretty good guess.

Total for January now stands at £132.61 actual extra money made - result!

New total today. I'm up to £178.52 after a £10 refund from my car insurance. Got some Amazon money on the way sometime soon and a few items ending on eBay in 4 days. Must get some more listed!
