Well I've got reason to save this money now - I found out on Thursday, after 11 months of trying, that I'm pregnant, so looking forward to being able to put a bit by for baby things. I know it's only early and anything can happen yet, but I'm feeling excited. Got lots of babysitting coming up in the next few weeks, so hopefully will have some more to add to my total soon.

    Congratualtions :j:j:j:j:j:j well done

OMG I am hanging my head in shame have spent the afternoon decluttering my handbags in my wardrobe which get used and everything left in them put away and forgotten about. I have decluttered the following from them :-

Half a black bag of receipts
£16.15 in loose change which weighed a tonne!! This is now in my sealed pot
£2 coin which is now in my £2 sealed jar
£10 x £1 coins which I have put in my sealed £1 a day jar
£5 note wrapped in a receipt and nearly thrown!
£20 note again wrapped in a receipt and nearly thrown!!!!! These are both now deposited in my secret notes box
£5 winning scratch card which I will cash in later and put money in my notes saving box
Brand new sealed packet of cigarettes!
New book of stamps 1st class

So that is approximately £58 quid decluttered!!! Plus I will put £5 i my savings too to cover the cost of the cigarettes.

I am however not going to add any of this to this challenge as it will be counted within the other challenges I am doing but OMG just shows how wasteful I used to be. Also found a receipt from Jack Wills that I had spent on my daughter last year, one shopping trip and it was only £2.50 short of £500 am I mad and this was a just because trip because of the date not a birthday or christmas trip. No more wasting like this I want some savings and home improvements. :o

  • haha Lotsaluck I got a ferrero box hidden in my drawer and since the new year put a £20 note in on a Friday obviously only had £60 in but now have £85 :D should net me an extra £1000 for the pot at the end of the year just my own personal challenge I know it will not get spent if hidden away just a little rainy day fund really :D

Huge Congratulations - hope you have a happy and health pregnancy!! Maternity clothes are a steal on ebay, I bought so many things from there in my last pg - many were brand new too. They are also pretty much guaranteed resellers too.

It's been a bit quiet for me the last few days. I've listed a few things on ebay today, little 'bitty' items so not sure how they'll sell. Might go through some more bits that I've got stored away and see what I can list tomorrow.
