Kethry - I've been to the Lowry, and although there's nowhere "cheap" nearby, there are various places in the shopping centre across the plaza (Cafe Rouge, Pizza Express, perhaps an All Bar One or a Slug and Lettuce? Only been once so can't quite remember) that if not an absolute bargain, should work out cheaper than theatre bars ;)

    EDIT: By the way

Hi Yall, I havn't read any posts today:o I have speed skimmed them tho!

I've had such a busy day and the weather is so nice sunny I've tackled one of the flower beds in the back garden as well as the usualy Friday stuff. Got 15 mins to rest before I start the trudge to school.

Hugs to all who are ill, feeling better, have been upset, having a good day, wishing they hadn't got up. LOL

I have noticed you lot that this is the time of day you all go quiet! Never mind the stories of doing the school run etc etc. I know you are sitting with your feet up having an afternoon snooze while us workers are hard at it trying to read MSE at work!!!

Honestly though. Moggins, I really think you should get some rest just now when DD is sleeping. Your mothering instinct will kick in if she as much as stirs and I don't want to sound doom and gloom here, you may be in for a bad night until she really starts to improve. Your housework can wait - your health is more important and you will run yourself into the ground if you don't have a nod when you can. Take care.

  • Afternoon all :) Bit late getting online today, have been busy.

Washing done and out on the line - first time in month's i've been able to peg out :) i love doing washing lol

Have been through the cupboards and made a list of everything i have and what meals i could make with them, same with the freezer. Its actually been good being stuck in the house with DD being off school, i've got loads of stuff done that i never seem to get around to otherwise. Also had a good clear out of DD's toys and clothes that she doesn't need anymore.

B - Toast and yoghurt, orange juice, tea
D - Baked potato with beans and cheese
T - Chicken breast wrapped in ham, potato wedges, salad

Hope everyone is having a good day so far :)

    Good afternoon
Been for the food shopping and overspent for the 2nd week on the trot

Did stock up on a few things so hopefully next week won't be so bad.

Also, got the new Shopaholic book :j :j Don't normally buy books (just get them from the library) but this was an exception.

Is it really February? It is like a summers day here. Have the living window open as it is blooming boiling

Got a few other little jobs to do in the house then will start on my book.

    Penny-Pincher!! - I have texted you a hug :)

I've had a couple of bargain buys today! First of all, was all out of fruit so went up to Borough Market where I got ELEVEN bananas for 50p! Then, I had been planning to book tickets for a comedy show in a couple of weeks from now, it's in one of London's fringe theatres so not very pricey to begin with (£12.50 a ticket) but thanks to an offer on Whatsonstage.com I got them 2 for 1 (and only a 50p booking fee!) So £13 for two tickets - fab :D

The other thing I realised was that I started the week with £20 in my purse and still have £15.50 of it left :j :j

Good Afternoon - hope we are well

Thanks Bargain Rzl - are you sure your DH & my OH aren't related. ? My problem is I get the fidgets easily, and cant sit still anyway. When we do watch tv together, we never speak, and like you , if he's watching something which doesn't appeal to me, Im on here. Its swings and round-abouts.
Im too always slipping my little bottle of my own drink in my bag, even if I go out round town, but not done that for about 2yrs.

seroxat chick, saw your pic, you look amazing!

elaine its always best to get to get another tetanus jab done, just to be safe! Did the neighbour make any comment ref the dog bite! I would be mortified, if my dog did anything like that. She is a loving Boxer dog, but Im always cautious of her around others!

tinkerbelluk I hope so too, I will watch how things go from here on. Its only silly little things to us as adults, but its like the world is against her, especially for a 7yr old!

wow moggins, thats a high gas bill. Do you live in a mansion? Hope your DD is feeling better today!

SSB Have fun in London at the weekend

Thanks anniestar, I usually wrap mine up in a towel, and use the syringe type thing to help get the tablet in their mouth. With the dog - thats easy - just wrap it in ham - GULP and its gone!

Just been working out, what I have/haven't got to pay bills. Which ones can I leave till untill my tax credits come thru? Im sure I will get there. And just after chatting to OH on the phone, we've agreed to reduce sky tv :j :T
no more suffering of football at the weekends - hurray!!!

Anyway best be off and nip into town and do the honours of departing with my hard earned cah to pay these silly bills

    Take care all
    Love as usual

P.S FIL coming home today, but has to return next week for further tests/scans and disguss further treatment. Some good news at last!
