Thanks Moggins, I've tried that too but he only likes them in tomato sauce:p - even then he eats only a little bit. Pets, eh - why do we have 'em - but I'll be very sad when mine go, they are mother and son and the son was born in my wardrobe!:D They are now nearly 17 and nearly 16 so I hope we'll have them a little while yet.
Come to think of it, I've been giving them ordinary "adult" food for a while as the "Senior" food is so dear - maybe that's a factor.0 -
Hi everyone, just got in from work so havent read the thread yet, am hoping you're all ok!;)

Evening all,
An emotional day for me today, last day at work. I work in a school full time on Reception and start a new job on monday at another school part-time, which is nearer home and where my daughter will be going in september so this job will make life a lot easier.
Really hard today because I loved the job, the staff and the kids. I got 3 bouquets of flowers 3 boxes of chocs, 2 bottles of bubbly and £40 in vouchers and just ended up blubbing at my presentation!!!:o
OS wise = nothing - take away pizza.
(oh I did put the washing on!!!):rotfl:0 -
Hello All
DLB Im not as lucky as you, I tried that once before ref sky, I say I will cancel, but they never offer me nothing in return to stay! Can you make the call for me? lol
Bills paid now. And a bit of toiletries shopping in Wilko's.
Will have to empty freezer and cupboard over the weekend and meal plan for next week. As my Purse is looking rather empty now!
No more takers yet ref the North Meet! only 6 on the list so far. Feel free to Post or PM me with your interest! Any ideas would be gratefully received ref to location!
Be back later

Unfortunately I'm much more 'up north' than most and find childcare impossible so unfortunately can't do a meet. Would love to

Well not too bad a day, got more done than I expected, in fact I went to put the washer on and not enough for a load! Managing to get stuff dry aswell. We seem to have skipped winter almost as the weather is more like spring time here at the mo, not complaining of course
Crazychik, that happened to me, then I said cancel it and 2 weeks before end date they called offering to repair it free (damaged dish needed fixing) before that they wanted over £100!One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Bargain_Rzl wrote:Kethry - I've been to the Lowry, and although there's nowhere "cheap" nearby, there are various places in the shopping centre across the plaza (Cafe Rouge, Pizza Express, perhaps an All Bar One or a Slug and Lettuce? Only been once so can't quite remember) that if not an absolute bargain, should work out cheaper than theatre bars

EDIT: By the way
Salford Quays
yup there is in the plaza. still expensive (it is the designer outlet after all!), and a picnic would be *far* cheaper (and more romantic!). but no real "pubs".
oh yeah. it is Salford Quays. *engages brain*
you;'d think i'd know better - i actually live in manchester!!! D'Oh!
thanks!!
anyway, back from shopping, bill paying etc., made OH very happy by finding some sugar free fishermen's friend in Wilkos (he loves them but can never find them in the UK, the blue and white stripey ones), paid the bills and got some celariac seeds. also made notes of sizes and prices of greenhouses and spade and stuff there, hoping to head back next week and get some gardening stuff
Asda was chaotic though. people pushing everyone else. grrr. there's no need for it really...

Right, I am being good again this evening (i.e. not getting a takeaway even though it's Friday!) as I still have half of a huuuuuge punnet of Asda Smartprice mushrooms which I have had since Sunday and are in the process of going brown on the outside - I think a mushroom risotto is the way to go
The other advantage of doing a risotto is it gives me a good excuse to open a bottle of wine without ending up finishing a whole bottle all by myself  seeing as I will need to put some of it in the cooking
I've got quite a lot of energy this evening! Must be something to do with the early night I had yesterday. Still, will try to get to bed at a reasonable time again today, as I am going to a party tomorrow and therefore have absolutely NO chance of another early night!
Hiya Crazychik - not sure who you were trying to reply to here but it's not me - I don't have a DH (or an OH)Crazychik wrote:Thanks Bargain Rzl - are you sure your DH & my OH aren't related. ? My problem is I get the fidgets easily, and cant sit still anyway. When we do watch tv together, we never speak, and like you , if he's watching something which doesn't appeal to me, Im on here. Its swings and round-abouts.
EDIT:
I know what you mean. It's the same on buses. The other day I was coming home a different way from normal, and had to get onto my bus at a different point in the route. The bus was a bit long in coming and everybody just started shoving to get on it - there were small children in the middle of the scrum who could have been hurt  :mad:kethry wrote:Asda was chaotic though. people pushing everyone else. grrr. there's no need for it really...
