I've been trying for ages, for some reason I got it in my head that if I couldn't get a bike on Freecycle I wasn't meant to have one
It needs fixing but BF says he'll look at it for me Can't wait to go collect it.
Can you tell I'm a bit chuffed about this :rotfl:

came back from town with a cracking headache, so I had a lie down for an hr, feel worse than ever now.
DD came home today in a much happier mood, teacher had a word with the culprit. She Asked DD if she wants to move tables, so now she sits with the teacher (not sure if thats a good idea or not) but will monitor it.
The culprit is being nice, I said to DD thats good then, and if she asks to play then still play with her. Dont ignore her completely.
No plans really for the wk end, just go with the flow, general tidy up and catch up with the washing - oh and shopping to get done. Kids are going to Birmingham with their dad to see thier grandad, he's desperate to see the kids, as he thinks he wont be around for much longer, and desperate to see and spend as much time with them! Bless him!
Got relatives coming next weekend for a vist, my 2 cousins from London, her boyfriend, and his 2 kids. Plus us 4 here, 3 cats & 1 dog - its going to be a mad house  Is it advisable to start the Prozac now? :rotfl:
Right off to read other threads for a while
Take care for now

CCStar Was that the ASDA ones? I bought those for leaving presies. They looked so nice.
I saw pot pourri for £1 a bag in TESCO today. It looked OK. Has anyone tried it to know if it lasts?
I'm just making a 'things that need doing before the house goes on the market' list. Pot pourri is on the list. (along with 'paint the bathroom cupboard' which is the same yukky pink as when we moved in 25 year ago:eek: It just never got done

The others from M&S (vanilla) - I had vouchers, and Harry Corrie. I haven't seen the ones in Tesco - my OH does my shopping for me from their on the way home from work.
We have spent ages decluttering, touching up and cleaning. It has gone on the market this week and people have said it looks good, so it is worth it:)An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

Hello all
Still haven't caught up properly with you all just skimmed really. Hope those who are not so good, have poorly kids, partners, poorly cats, partner problems etc are OK. Also best wishes to those with interviews - fingers crossed!
Well battled my way to babysit this afternoon (actually not too bad - think I missed the worst of the rush hour but Friday round the Edinburgh Bypass not good at best of times!). When I got over, DD had had a phone call from her supervisor saying, please don't come in - we can be flexible due to the fact you are pregnant and had this awful flu type thing! When are you due to work again - Monday then off until Sunday next week. OK, let's go with that but don't come in on Monday if not well as we don't want you to have post viral syndrom etc said supervisor (DD works in a Call Centre 3 nights a week 6-11 pm). DD was all set up with a quick casserole in the oven as she fully expected to go to work (although not still right but was worried in case she needed a Doctor's line)! Consensus of opinion family wise was that the casserole was c**p! She had used a packet sauce for quickness which she never usually does. DGS1 said 'Yuck' the moment he saw it in the plate! (We all agreed but encouraged the boys to at least each the chicken!) Suffice to say we didn't all finish our meal. Normally it is: no eat dinner no treats - we relaxed the rules tonight, justifiably I think! The boys had to get a food rush from somewhere after their yoghurts! She has said that it is back to her own recipes! She finds the DK book (Annabel Karmel) Feeding your Baby and Toddler invaluable. Great soup recipes and others too which can get a bit more spice as kids get older. She thought she had lost her copy when moved house almost 3 years ago and bought another. It turned up and I now have it here. Slight changes in recipes but well worth looking at. I adapt and cook for adults.
DS phoned tonight and he sounds in good form. While he spoke to DH (about football of course!) I got on line and DGS1 and me are off to Dublin for our big adventure on 23rd March! It will be fantastic! DGS1 can't remember the family holiday we had in La Cala (south of Malaga) when he was a toddler (17 months old) and we were the 4 on that plane with a totally screaming toddler - the ones you don't normally want to sit beside! Problem was we were sat on the aircraft for over an hour before take-off and the wee man couldn't understand why he was constrained, it was an early morning flight (and had to be woken) and was totally out of kilter! Wasn't so bad when we came back!
Anyhows folk, as I said earlier, totally knacked.
Love to you all

Pink-Winged please don't be too mad with your little lad. I was in so much pain with my ear infection I still remember it now and that was 3 years ago! I was deaf in one ear for 6 weeks afterwards and it was the most horrible thing ever. The whole episode was worse than childbirth.
Snowy - you are not unemployable, just going through a rough time, please be good to yourself. I have worked tills and although they might think we are just monkey's the position is bl**dy stressful. I got a written warning once for something that wasn't even my fault. I packed the job in 2 weeks afterwards and I had been with the company 3 years previously. I really think you need to go back to your doctors hun, something isn't right and perhaps they can help you sort it.
Just finished watching American Idol, it is so funny! DD definitely seems to be taking a turn for the better, her face is almost back to it's normal shape apart from her eyes which still look like slits. She's sleeping fairly peacefully, we had a little nap together on the sofa earlier, haven't done that for a long time.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

My DH does the TESCO shop too but only for 'bits'. Today was my first time since well before Christmas, infact I'm shopping local and I'm sure it's cheaper in the long run and supporting local shops too. Spent less than £17 today.
Good luck with the house sale - have you moved before? It's my first time for 25 years. I'm sitting here surrounded by various calculations!Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0
