hi bellabella - welcome to the daily threads!!

Bargain Rzl - quite agree with you (re: the buses), what gets me is the way everyone seems to have to crowd at the front of the bus, when there's *plenty* of room to stand further up, between the seats. it makes getting on and off the bus really hard, especially if you're a mom with kids or carrying heavy/big bags or a buggy or something. i make a point of trying *not* to travel during rush hour for that reason, i get so stressed otherwise and thats not good for me. but then, i don't work (because of the stress) so i can do that. i pity those that can't. just wish the govt would get up off its backside and sort out public transport..

    Hi bellabella and welcome.

Not much doing here tonight. Kids in bed, Tesco shop has arrived and waiting to be put away and then I'm off to give OH a back massage followed by a nice hot bath.
I hope you all had a good day, and I am soooooooo looking forward to having the weekend off.

    Goodnight all, Smoky. xxxx

    Hi everyone,

Late checking in tonight......Got an appointment with the Doctor yesterday and Ds had an infection in both ears. The prescription seems to be kicking in and thankfully he's stopped crying with the pain. He's as deaf as a post though and I think if I have to repeat myself one more time, I'll scream.

As his temp was still very high last night we decided not to go out for a meal........reading the thread about eating out helped console me a bit, at least we didn't waste any money.

Moggins, sorry to hear your daughter hasn't been well...I hope she's on the mend now too.

    Welcome Bellabella!

Off to have a read of the rest of the posts and catch up with everyone's news. I hope you're all well.

    Have a good evening,

    Pink

I'm just killing time until 8.30 when I'm sending sons to bed and watching Grow Your Own on BBC2 followed by a tape of Groundhog day, because it is Groudhog day or Candlemas as we call it :D . I shall also be drinking some wine (again).

    Have a good evening all.

    Good evening everyone,

    Welcome bellabella

Well, im off to bed, im feeling dreadful - have a headache and sore throat, so i think some parecetamol and an early night will do me the world of good. Think its just all those bad nights sleeps cathing up on me. Have to be up early tomorrow tho, DS has football, and its the re start of his season, so he needs to be there. Luckily its a home match, so not too far away, but they have to be there by 9.30, so no rest for the wicked!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pink hope your little DS is feeling better soon, ear infections are not nice at all.

Catowen, don't blame you, hope you feel better in the morning, good night :)

Well I've probably made a huge mistake and let the boys stay up late, they're just eating supper then I am chasing them up to bed, I'll be honest my fault as I couldn't be bothered with the headache that is bedtime just yet and they were sat being nice to each other for a change.

    Welcome bellabella :)

Right I best get these 2 munchkins up to bed, fingers crossed I don't doze off with them as I need to go through OU stuff again.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi everyone

I have read the whole thread from top to bottom...but have forgotten an awful lot cos I have already drained a large glass of wine! I'm suffering from work stress yet again. It's a long old story, but suffice to say that I am angry and annoyed at how managers and supervisors at work behave towards staff. We work for pennies more than minimum wage but the demands and expectations made are out of proportion to the rewards. I took this job because I needed a non-thinking occupation for a while...but it's getting on top of me again. I think I am heading towards being unemployable as I get so upset over the slightest little thing and can't take even a suggestion of pressure. It's only a flipping till but I can't even manage that properly and I am pretty sure I'll be let go over the next month or two. I know I've got to do something to change my luck...but what? Everything I do seems to turn bad sooner or later...it's hard to know where to turn.

Moggins, sorry to hear about your DD, I hope that she gets over this very quickly. You too Nazini...it's not nice having a rash like that, especially when the cause of it is a mystery.

Otherwise, things in SnowyOwlTown are very very quiet indeed, I have nothing much to report.

    Have a fantastic weekend everyone.

Good evening, I've just skimmed as I really do have to get some tea soon. All heat up so it wont take long.;)

Moggins, I hope she gets better soon.

Cat question (sorry can't find post again for the name) I give all my cats sardines in tomato sauce once a week - one sardinde each. I buy them very cheap from Lidl. Very funny to watch, one gobbles it up them sits and burbs, the 2nd lickes all the tomato sauce then eats the fish, the 3rd eats the fish and leaves the sauce and the 4th takes all morning to eat it. (I have to put the others out and leave her one her own) Same every week.

Was on a course today so as it finished at four I did the weekend shop on the way home. All put way before eveyone came home so lots more time for other things tomorrow.

Viewed a house tonight, quite keen but much smaller than our present one. One less reception room and although four beds every room is smaller. Garden is much bigger and sunny, 1/3 acre, which is what I want but I might regret the space. Also no caverty walls. I wondered if that would be more expensive to heat? But balanced out by smaller rooms.

We're viewing the most promising house tommorow - it has planning permission for my dream cattery. I'll be so disappointed if t's not perfect.

DH is radioactive tonight after his bone scan. The doctors warned him not to get too close to anyone/animal for 48 hours! They couldn't comment on the result.

    I'm hoping there's a gardening prog on BBC2 at 8.30 - haven't looked yet.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me

Finally got to settle down and watch American Idol, I love their energy :D

Made a cauliflower cheese from a 50p cauliflower bought from Asda. Did some mini roasties to go with it. I used that sauce you whisk with liquid and it thickens when it boils, you add whatever you want after. I added some smoked cheese and it was fab.

Had vanilla ice cream for pud and attacked the mints from Christmas.

We had lovely Chillian white wine too:)

I did 2 hours hard labour in the garden, clearing some yuckky stuff, then did the housework (vacuum, dust, and bathrooms).

The people have changed the viewing to Sunday, still it is done now and only the last minute stuff to do!

Not sure whether to go out tomorrow or not.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
