Good morning all..........I am even later today as i had to tidy and declutter for the people who were meant to be viewing my house today at 10-30am. They havent turned up yet!! so i have decided to chill out by browsing moneysaving. DS 2, age 16, was bitten by a neighbours dog last night so had to go to the hospital with his dad. He was given antibiotics and i am trying at present to double check with the school nurse when he had his last tetanus. I cannot for the life of me remember. I rang the doctors and they said its showing that he needs one but he is insisting that he had it two years ago, There is always something to worry about. The house is clean due to my expected viewers but i have loads of washing to do.I have just done another online shop for tomorrow as my car is still unfixed and that is depressing me. I cant wait to be driving again and really need the independance and choice to go out when i want, to keep me sane. Best wishes and hugs to miss moggins. Hugs to any-one else that needs one. Have a good day every-one, thank goodness its friday!! Love Elaine“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Had a quick 5 mins so thought I would use it to catch up!
Moggins - YEAH :j :j - Glad to hear she's coming home. I suggest you all snuggle in for the weekend together
chardonnay - We got asked for ID on our honeymoon. The smile didn't leave my face for days!
Crazychik - Glad you seem to have sorted things out with the school. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
specsappeal - Congrats on your wedding anniversary. I'm sure all you need to do is tell your DD that if she doesn't go to bed early you are more than happy for her to stay and watch mummy and daddy smooching! She'll be up the stairs quicker than light :rotfl: :rotfl:
Think that's all for now, but maybe back later! You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
elaine I hope your son wasn't too badly hurt? Have you reported it to the police?
Very mixed day here today, DD is home but is definitely not herself yet and her poor little face is so swollen.
We've also got the gas bill in which is horrendous and is £522 for the last quarter! I don't know why it's so high, I've been scrupulous about keeping the heating down this winter.
But the good news that wipes everything away and has put a big beaming smile on my face is that next doors planning application appeal has been dismissed! I am over the moon and it now means that I can crack on with planting and putting my greenhouse up as there is now a reason to do it.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

moggins: I'm glad your DD is on the mend and out of hospital - big hugs for you both, especially after being up all night.
we went to see the Chinese State Circus last night at the Lowry in Manchester, it was wonderful, but we made the mistake of going into the theatre bar for a drink, as we were there so early.   1 pint of beer and a black russian cost nearly £10 - as OH pointed out, it would have been cheaper to buy me a bottle of vodka and a bottle of tia maria - i certainly would have gotten more booze!
but.. we don't go out that often so i refuse to feel guilty about it, just make a mental note if we go to the theatre again, NOT to go to the theatre bar!!
today's plan: bill paying and shopping. not much else. got orders (from OH) to take it easy, still getting over the cold.
hope everyone has a good day! :grouphug:

Moggins pleased to hear DD is feeling better. Great news with the planning too.
£522 does seem very very high, saying that mine hasn't arrived yet so I might be in for a similar shock!
Still unwell but managing to keep food down, well just had lunch and ok so far, so that's a plus. Got some housework done this morning, took dogs for a walk (puppy was being a little minx as usual) had lunch. Got some more to do this afternoon and prepare dinner etc.
Missed my fruit and veg lady yesterday as I was unable to get to the door on time, annoyed with myself a bit and will have to buy elsewhere this week.
Hope everyone has a good dayOne day I might be more organised...........

Hello Everyone
I am not working this weekend :j , Hurrah. Looking forward to taking the kids and their cousin to London tomorrow, we won tickets to see Dinojaws exhibition at the Natural History Museum. It looks amazing, really looking forward to that.
Have cleaned the house, done laudry and will meet a friend for tea and a chat in a minute. It is very sunny here, the dog will enjoy a long walk later today. Wishing you all a happy Friday, take care:pSSB

Hello everybody!
I can't believe that it's the afternoon already and I've done next to nothing today.
I've got a couple of Amazon books and some readitswapit books to post, so hopefully a walk to the Post Office might brighten my ideas up a bit!0 -

I've been worrying about this, I know exactly where you mean and it really would have been a nightmare
I told mr tru about your DD (he was only out for about 20 mins  ) and he said 'What are we waiting for? Let's go and get her"
I was a bit surprised, he wouldn't have said no but I thought he might think I was being a bit silly, seeing as we've never met you :rotfl:
I meant to say earlier, if you're stuck again, you can catch the number 10 bus from the top of Seymour Road, get off at the first stop on London Road and you're right near the hospital.Bulletproof0 -
Kethry - I go to the theatre a lot and I hardly ever buy a drink in the bar for this reason! Instead I have a mental list of every reasonably-priced pub/bar in the vicinity of every venue I frequent. I drink tap water (usually provided free at the theatre next to the bar) then go out after the show...
Worst experiences: £8 for ONE large glass of (admittedly decent) white wine, that was at the Wigmore Hall in London, I've never bought drinks there again - and then last week I was at the London Coliseum with a (fortunately relatively well-off) friend and his wife, who promised to buy the drinks as I had blagged some incredibly cheap tickets.... and for two bottles of wine (one for pre-show and one for the interval) he got charged about £50  !

you could always sneek your own in a hip flask for the interval;)0
