LloydsTSB PPI Payment

Hi there. I'm wondering if anyone can help. Finally got through to LTSB today after trying all week, the lady took my credit card number and asked why I thought I was entitled to claim. After going through all this I mentioned that the original card I had taken ouo had been changed (like all others) from gold visa to airmiles duo automatically, and it was the Gold Visa which had the original missold PPI. The advisor said that I would need the original gold visa credit card number otherwise there was nothing she could do. She said she would transfer me to the customer services team who should be able to search. Customer services said I would have to go through to Lloyds credit card dept who said they would not be able to search back that far and I would have to search for something like an old statement or paying slip, but suggested calling into a branch. I've just been into a branch who were unable to help and referred me back to the 0845 PPI number to start the whole thing off again.
I feel like I'm getting the run around from Lloyds who seem to be making it extremely awkward to get a claim processed, and seem to have thrown little technical or human recourse at solving the problem. It's really frustrating as I know for a fact I was 100% missold this policy and can remember going into a branch quite annoyed (after realising how much I was paying for something of zero use) to cancel it a few years back and being told something like "this happens all the time as we get into trouble if we don't add it to the card".
Anyway, does anyone know if I need to provide them with this old card number or has anyone else come across this problem after having their cards automatically switched to the airmiles duo card? Am I being cynical in thinking that its impossible to get the card number from Lloyds as it would mean them having to pay out?
It's probably only going to amount to a couple of hundred quid, but its now become a matter of principle. I'm determined to get it resolved and then change banks asap.0 -

I've spoke to them this morning and they've told me there's no timescale for payment! It seems to me they all say whatever they want, there's no set thing to tell us. The lady I spoke to has emailed the refund manager for me. The normal refund team have ignored the email the other Lloyds person who I spoke to last week had sent! My offer letter was dated 3 Aug, so how on earth can they fast track payments from Sept before they've dealt with July and August??????0 -

Hear, hear! I am frankly disgusted that they are promising relatively quick payouts and fast-tracking, when there have been people waiting much, much longer for their payouts, and some over a year for an initial response!0 -

When are the guys waiting a long time ever going to get paid if newer payments keep getting done first ?
(I'm one of the newer ones, but I just think things need to be fair - and paying in date order is the fairest way - although how they can't just have the payments list on a database and press a button, I don't know - I could write them the software to do it in less time than it's taken them to not pay me so far)[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0 -
I complained back at the beginning of May as a financial hardship case sent them evidence of this. Recieved letter in August with offer of premiums+interest+ the 8% with acceptance form on which I requested payment by cheque which I sent back recorded delivery I then emailed the customer.care insurance email address and got told they didnt have - I have proof of delivery I went postal emailed the ceo email and the customer care email address I have spent close on 5 hours trying to get through on the phone I will be sending them the itemised bill as well. I then received figures letters totalling just over 7k saying they would pay into my now dormant lloyds account i spent over 30 mins on the phone to them trying to get through spoke to a young guy who took my new account with first directs details and said the momeny would be paid in directly he couldnt give any eta
I worked for one of the big insurers before becomming ill if we had acted this way we would have been dragged over hot coals by the fos

I think one of the main issues is that because people were being told they will have payment in 21 days/28 days people want Lloyds to stick to the timescales they were given, I know that I was given that timescale (28 days) when I called on 31/08/11.
I worked as a telephony manager and it is not difficult to provide staff with the correct information to pass onto the customers, but one thing I have learnt is that when people are given incorrect information they will seize upon it to use to their advantage.0 -

Just rang again as still not received payment (67 days now grrr)
The man I spoke to told me I'm on the priority spreadsheet and said that I should receive payment in 7-10 working days, I asked if that doesn't happen then he said it will be investigated!0 -
